Abstract:Atrazine has been widely used in agriculture and horticulture for a long time, and it may cause severe environmental and reverse human health problems. Detection of atrazine residue is usually performed using chromatographic methods, such as GC and HPLC. These methods are reliable and have adequate sensitivity or detection limits required by regulatory standards, but they require expensive instruments, well-equipped laboratory and extensive sample preparation and/or pre-concentration. Therefore, there is an urgent need for rapid and cost-effective technologies to detect low levels of atrazine residue.
