Abstract:We construct a family of partially hyperbolic skew-product diffeomorphisms on T-3 that are robustly transitive and admitting two physical measures with intermingled basins. In particularly, all these diffeomorphisms are not topologically mixing. Moreover, for every such example, it exhibits a dichotomy under perturbation: every perturbation of such example either has a unique physical measure and is robustly topologically mixing, or has two physical measures with intermingled basins.

Abstract:We generalize the construction of affine polar graphs in two different ways to obtain partial difference sets and amorphic association schemes. In the first generalization we replace the quadratic form in the affine polar graph construction by higher degree homogeneous functions that are p-ary weakly regular bent. The second generalization uses a combination of quadratic forms and uniform cyclotomy. The negative Latin square type partial difference sets arising from the second generalization seem to be new.

Abstract: We prove that the period map from the Torelli space of Calabi--Yau type manifolds to the period domain of polarized Hodge structures is injective. The proof is based on the construction of holomorphic affine structure on the Teichm\"uller space and the construction of the completion space of the Torelli space with respect to the Hodge metric.

Abstract:For every r is an element of N->= 2 boolean OR {infinity} , we prove a C (R) -orbit connecting lemma for dynamically coherent and plaque expansive partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms with one-dimensional orientation preserving center bundle. To be precise, for such a diffeomorphism f, if a point y is chain attainable from x through pseudo-orbits, then for any neighborhood U of x and any neighborhood V of y, there exist true orbits from U to V by arbitrarily C (R) -small perturbations. As a consequence, we prove that for C-r -generic diffeomorphisms in this class, periodic points are dense in the chain recurrent set, and chain transitivity implies transitivity.

Abstract:In this paper, we study transitivity of partially hyperbolic endomorphisms of the two torus whose action in the first homology group has two integer eigenvalues of moduli greater than one. We prove that if the Jacobian is everywhere greater than the modulus of the largest eigenvalue, then the map is robustly transitive. For this, we introduce Blichfedt's theorem as a tool for extracting dynamical information from the action of a map in homology. We also treat the case of specially partially hyperbolic endomorphisms, for which we obtain a complete dichotomy: either the map is transitive and conjugated to its linear part, or its unstable foliation must contain an annulus which may either be wandering or periodic.

Abstract:In this note we show that all partially hyperbolic automorphisms on a 3-dimensional non-Abelian nilmanifold can be C1-approximated by structurally stable C∞-diffeomorphisms, whose chain recurrent set consists of one attractor and one repeller. In particular, all these partially hyperbolic automorphisms are not robustly transitive. As a corollary, the holonomy maps of the stable and unstable foliations of the approximating diffeomorphisms are twisted quasiperiodically forced circle homeomorphisms, which are transitive but non-minimal and satisfy certain fiberwise regularity properties.

Abstract:We prove that every $C^2$ conservative partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism of a closed 3-manifold without periodic points is ergodic, which gives an affirmative answer to the Ergodicity Conjecture by Hertz-Hertz-Ures in the absence of periodic points. We also show that a partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism of a closed 3-manifold $M$ with no periodic points is accessible if the non-wandering set is all of $M$ and the fundamental group $\pi_1(M)$ is not virtually solvable.

Abstract:We construct examples illustrating that dynamically-defined distributions of holomorphic diffeomorphisms on compact complex manifolds are not necessarily holomorphic in any open subset. More precisely, for any $n\geq 5$, we construct a holomorphic fibered partially hyperbolic system on a complex $n$-fold, where the center distribution is not holomorphic in any open subset. For $n=3$ we demonstrate a contrast: the center distribution of any fibered holomorphic partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism on a complex $3$-fold is holomorphic. In particular, any such a system is a holomorphic skew product over a linear automorphism on a complex $2$-torus.

Abstract:We prove that in the moduli space Md of degree d2 rational maps, any hyperbolic component in the disconnectedness locus and of Cantor circle type is a finite quotient of R4d-4-nxTn, where n is determined by dynamics. Abstract:We consider the space of -diffeomorphims of a three dimensional closed manifold equipped with the -topology. It is known that there are open sets in which -generic diffeomorphisms display uncountably many chain recurrence classes, while only countably many of them may contain periodic orbits. The classes without periodic orbits, called aperiodic classes, are the main subject of this paper. The aim of the paper is to show that aperiodic classes of -generic diffeomorphisms can exhibit a variety of topological properties. More specifically, there are -generic diffeomorphisms with (1) minimal expansive aperiodic classes, (2) minimal but non-uniquely ergodic aperiodic classes, (3) transitive but non-minimal aperiodic classes, (4) non-transitive, uniquely ergodic aperiodic classes.

The key point is that we rule out Reeb components in the unstable foliation of f . Abstract:In this paper, we study transitive partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms with one-dimensional topologically neutral center, meaning that the length of the iterate of small center segments remains small. Such systems are dynamically coherent. We show that there exists a continuous metric along the center foliation which is invariant under the dynamics. As an application, we classify the transitive partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms on 3-manifolds with topologically neutral center.

Abstract:We call a partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism partially volume expanding if the Jacobian restricted to any hyperplane that contains the unstable bundle E^u is larger than 1. This is a C^1 open property. We show that any C^1+ partially volume expanding diffeomorphisms admits finitely many physical measures, and the union of their basins has full volume.
