A new synchronous control method for dual motor electric vehicle based on cognitive-inspired and intelligent interaction

Abstract:In this work, based on cognitive heuristic control theory and driver cognitive psychology, we propose and design a dynamic simulation test system for electric vehicle with dual drive circuit, and this work’s purpose is to solve the synchronization and real-time problems of system dynamic response. So it can improve the safety of electric vehicles driven by dual motor. Firstly, we design the driver’s data cognition model and control mechanism. Then, based on environmental cognition and heuristic computation, we propose a hardware-in-the-loop driver–vehicle–road simulation system model. Based on the principle of bias coupling and cognitive heuristic calculation, a fuzzy PID synchronous control algorithm and a torque estimation method are put forward. Furthermore, we have built a new dynamic testing system prototype. We have also done synchronous testing experiments, and designed a behavioral cognitive model for driver–vehicle–road real-time simulation. Finally, the experimental results show that when considering driver’s behavior cognitive computing model, the system can realize vehicle dynamic simulation and heuristic driving strategy for human–vehicle–road environment. Besides, we propose a biased coupling and cognitive heuristic algorithm, which can effectively improve the synchronization accuracy of dual-load systems. Then, the torque estimation algorithm designed in this paper can improve the speed accuracy. And it also improves the real-time performance and system accuracy. The results show that it provides a reference for cognitive control and heuristic computation in automobile driving test research.
