Abstract:In this paper, an explicit determinant formula is given for the Verma modules over the Lie algebra W(2, 2). We construct a natural realization of certain vaccum module for the algebra W(2, 2) via theWeyl vertex algebra. We also describe several results including the irreducibility, characters and the descending filtrations of submodules for the Verma module over the algebra W(2, 2).

Abstract:Lowest weight representations of the ${\mathbb Z}_2 \otimes {\mathbb Z}_2$ graded superalgebra introduced by Rittenberg and Wyler are investigated. We give a explicit construction of Verma modules over the ${\mathbb Z}_2 \otimes {\mathbb Z}_2$ graded superalgebra and show their reducibility by using singular vectors. The explicit formula of singular vectors are given and are used to derive partial differential equations invariant under the color supergroup generated by the ${\mathbb Z}_2 \otimes {\mathbb Z}_2$ graded superalgebra.

Abstract:Imaginary Verma modules, parabolic imaginary Verma modules, and Verma modules at level zero for double affine Lie algebras are constructed using three different triangular decompositions. Their relations are investigated, and several results are generalized from the affine Lie algebras. In particular, imaginary highest weight modules, integrable modules, and irreducibility criterion are also studied.

Abstract:We consider the possible role that chiral orbifold conformal field theories may play in describing the edge state theories of quantum Hall systems. This is a generalization of work that already exists in the literature, where it has been shown that 1+1 chiral bosons living on a n-dimensional torus, and which couple to a U_1 gauge field, give rise to anomalous electric currents, the anomaly being related to the Hall conductivity. The well known $O(n,n;Z)$ duality group associated with such toroidal conformal field theories transforms the edge states and Hall conductivities in a way which makes interesting connections between different theories, e.g. between systems exhibiting the integer and fractional quantum Hall effect. In this paper we try to explore the extension of these constructions to the case where such bosons live on a n-dimensional orbifold. We give a general formalism for discussing the relevant quantities like the Hall conductance and their transformation under the duality groups present in orbifold compactifications. We illustrate these ideas by presenting a detailed analysis of a toy model based on the two-dimensional Z_3 orbifold. In this model we obtain new classes of filling fractions, which generally the correspond to fermionic edge states carrying fractional electric charge. We also consider the relation between orbifold edge theories and Luttinger liquids (LL's), which in the past have provided important insights into the physics of quantum Hall systems.

Abstract:The main purpose of the paper is to establish new tools in the study of $\mathcal{O}^\mathfrak{p}$. We introduce the Jantzen coefficients of generalized Verma modules. It comes from the Jantzen's simplicity criteria for generalized Verma modules and has a deep relation with the structure of $\mathcal{O}^\mathfrak{p}$. We develop a reduction process to compute those coefficients. For which we need to consider generalized Verma modules induced from maximal parabolic subalgebras having maximal nontrivial singularity, so called basic generalized Verma modules. The classification of such modules is obtained in this paper. As the first application of our results, we give a refinement of Jantzen's simplicity criteria.

Abstract:In this paper, the module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) = H(e(i), f(i), k(i)(+/- 1))(1 <= i <= m)., on the coordinate algebra of quantum vector spaces are studied. We denote the coordinate algebra of quantum n-dimensional vector space by A(q)(n). As our main result, first, we give a complete classification of module-algebra structures of U-p(sl(m + 1)) on A(q)(3) when k(i) is an element of Aut L(A(q)(3)) as actions on A(q)(3) for i = 1,...,m and m >= 2 and with the same method, on A(q)(2), all module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) are characterized. Lastly, the module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) on A(q)(n) are obtained for any n >= 4.
Representations of non-finitely graded Lie algebras related to Virasoro algebra

Abstract:In this paper, we study representations of non-finitely graded Lie algebras $\mathcal{W}(\epsilon)$ related to Virasoro algebra, where $\epsilon = \pm 1$. Precisely speaking, we completely classify the free $\mathcal{U}(\mathfrak h)$-modules of rank one over $\mathcal{W}(\epsilon)$,and find that these module structures are rather different from those of other graded Lie algebras. We also determine the simplicity and isomorphism classes of these modules.

Then M is said to be a w-module if Ext(R)(1)(R/J, M) = 0 for any J is an element of GV(R), and the w-envelope of M is defined by M(w) = {x is an element of E(M)vertical bar Jx subset of M for some J is an element of GV(R)}. In this paper, w-modules over commutative rings are considered, and the theory of w-operations is developed for arbitrary commutative rings. As applications, we give some characterizations of w-Noetherian rings and Krull rings.

Abstract:Motivated by Witten’s work, we propose a K -theoretic Verlinde/Grassmannian correspondence which relates the GL Verlinde numbers to the K -theoretic quasimap invariants of the Grassmannian. We recover these two types of invariants by imposing different stability conditions on the gauged linear sigma model associated with the Grassmannian. We construct two families of stability conditions connecting the two theories and prove two wall-crossing results. We confirm the Verlinde/Grassmannian correspondence in the rank two case.
Modularity for $\mathcal{W}$-algebras and affine Springer fibres

Abstract:We construct a bijection between admissible representations for an affine Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ at boundary admissible levels and $\mathbb{C}^\times$ fixed points in homogeneous elliptic affine Springer fibres for the Langlands dual affine Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}^\vee$. Using this bijection, we relate the modularity of the characters of admissible representations to Cherednik's Verlinde algebra construction coming from double affine Hecke algebras. Finally, we show that the expected behaviors of simple modules under quantized Drinfeld-Sokolov reductions are compatible with the reductions from affine Springer fibres to affine Spaltenstein varieties. This yields (modulo some conjectures) a similar bijection for irreducible representations of $\mathcal{W}$-algebras, as well as an interpretation for their modularity properties.

On irreducibility of modules of Whittaker type: twisted modules and nonabelian orbifolds

Abstract:In <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1811.04649" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1811.04649">arXiv:1811.04649</a>, we extended the Dong-Mason theorem on irreducibility of modules for cyclic orbifold vertex algebras to the entire category weak modules and applied this result to Whittaker modules. In this paper we present further generalizations of these results for nonabelian orbifolds of vertex operator superalgebras. Let $V$ be a vertex superalgebra with a countable dimension and let $G$ be a finite subgroup of $\mathrm{Aut}(V)$. Assume that $h\in Z(G)$ where $Z(G)$ is the center of the group $G$. For any irreducible $h$-twisted (weak) $V$-module $M$, we prove that if $M\not\cong g\circ M$ for all $g\in G$ then $M$ is also irreducible as $V^G$-module. We also apply this result to examples and give irreducibility of modules of Whittaker type for orbifolds of Neveu-Schwarz vertex superalgebras, Heisenberg vertex algebras, Virasoro vertex operator algebra and Heisenberg-Virasoro vertex algebra.

On the reducibility of scalar generalized Verma modules associated to two-step nilpotent parabolic subalgebras

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a simple complex Lie algebra of classical type. A generalized Verma module induced from a one-dimensional representation of a parabolic subalgebra of $\mathfrak{g}$ is called a scalar generalized Verma module of $\mathfrak{g}$. In this article, we use Gelfand-Kirillov dimension to determine the reducibility of scalar generalized Verma modules of $\mathfrak{g}$ associated to two-step nilpotent parabolic subalgebras of non-maximal type. Such a module exists only when $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{sl}(n,\mathbb{C})$ or $\mathfrak{so}(2n,\mathbb{C})$ for classical types. We find that the reducible points of these modules can be drawn in a two-dimensional complex plane.

Bidirectional Heuristic Search Reconsidered

Abstract:The assessment of bidirectional heuristic search has been incorrect since it was first published more than a quarter of a century ago. For quite a long time, this search strategy did not achieve the expected results, and there was a major misunderstanding about the reasons behind it. Although there is still wide-spread belief that bidirectional heuristic search is afflicted by the problem of search frontiers passing each other, we demonstrate that this conjecture is wrong. Based on this finding, we present both a new generic approach to bidirectional heuristic search and a new approach to dynamically improving heuristic values that is feasible in bidirectional search only. These approaches are put into perspective with both the traditional and more recently proposed approaches in order to facilitate a better overall understanding. Empirical results of experiments with our new approaches show that bidirectional heuristic search can be performed very efficiently and also with limited memory. These results suggest that bidirectional heuristic search appears to be better for solving certain difficult problems than corresponding unidirectional search. This provides some evidence for the usefulness of a search strategy that was long neglected. In summary, we show that bidirectional heuristic search is viable and consequently propose that it be reconsidered.
