Abstract:In this paper, we mainly construct the quantum double D(H) of a weak T-coalgebra H and then prove that it is also a weak Hopf group coalgebra. Furthermore, we prove that the category of modules over D(H) is isomorphic to the category of weak Yetter–Drinfeld group modules.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the notions of a weak Doi-Hopf group module and a group skew pair as a respective generalization of a weak Doi-Hopf module and the usual skew pair. We establish a class of generalized Drinfel'd doubles which is a class of weak Hopf group coalgebras by a group skew pair.

Abstract:The major purpose of this paper is to construct a weak Hopf algebra with grading from a family of Hopf algebras, and then to gain a related quantum G-double with regular R-matrix. First, over a field k, we introduce a so-called semilattice graded weak Hopf algebra H=⊕α∈YHα. Then the quantum G-double D′(H) of H is obtained in case that H is commutative. Moreover, it is shown that D′(H) is semisimple (respectively, von Neumann regular) if and only if H is a semisimple (respectively, von Neumann regular) Hopf algebra. At last, a nontrivial example of semilattice graded weak Hopf algebras is obtained.

Abstract:Let B and H be weak Hopf algebras with bijective antipodes S-B and S-H, respectively. Based on a compatible weak Hopf dual pairing (B, H, sigma), we construct a generalized Drinfeld quantum double ID(B, H) which is a weak T-coalgebra over a twisted semi-direct square of groups. In particular, when B and H are finite dimensional and the above pairing map sigma is nondegenerate, ID(B, H) admits a nontrivial quasitriangular structure. Some explicit examples are given as an application of our theory.

Abstract:Let be a group. In this article, we introduce the notions of a weak Doi-Hopf -module and a weak pi-twisted smash product. We show that the Yetter-Drinfel'd -modules over a weak crossed Hopf pi-coalgebra (WT-coalgebra) are special cases as these new weak Doi-Hopf -modules, generalizing the main result by Caenepeel et al. (1997) and that the Drinfel'd double for WT-coalgebras (Van Daele and Wang, 2008) appears as, a type of such a weak pi-twisted smash product, respectively. Finally, starting from a weak Hopf algebra endowed with an action of a group by weak Hopf automorphisms, we construct a quasitriangular weak Hopf pi-coalgebra by a twisted double method, generalizing the main result in Virelizier (2005). This method allows us to obtain nontrivial examples of quasitriangular weak Hopf pi-coalgebras.
On the Structure and Representations of Non-Balanced Quantum Doubles

Abstract:For a field k and two finite groups G and X, when G acts on X from the right by group automorphisms, there is a Hopf algebra structure on k-space (kX op )* ⋇ kG (see Theorem 2.1), called a non-balanced quantum double and denoted by D X (G). In this paper, some Hopf algebra properties of D X (G) are given, the representation types of D X (G) viewed as a k-algebra are discussed, the algebra structure and module category over D X (G) are studied. Since the Hopf algebra structure of non-balanced quantum double D X (G) generalizes the usual quantum double D(G) for a finite group G, all results about D X (G) in this paper can also be used to describe D(G) as a special case and the universal R-matrix of D X (G) provides more solutions of Yang-Baxter equation.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to use Clifford monoids to define weak Hopf quivers and to construct the corresponding class of weak Hopf algebras, i.e., the semilattice of graded weak Hopf algebras which were found to be useful in obtaining a regular R-matrix of a quantum double without a quasi-triangular structure. We define weak Hopf quivers and classify the semilattice of graded weak Hopf algebra structures over path coalgebras using weak Hopf quivers. This gives, precisely, a generalization of the classification of the graded weak Hopf algebra structures over path coalgebras using such quivers.

Abstract:The duality theorem of generalized weak smash coproducts of weak module coalgebras and comodule coalgebras over quantum groupoids is studied. Let H be a weak Hopf algebra, C a left weak H-comodule coalgebra and D a left weak H-module coalgebra. First, a weak generalized smash coproduct C×(superscript l subscript H) D over quantum groupoids is defined and the module and comodule structures on it are constructed. The weak generalized right smash coproduct C×(superscript r subscript L) D is similar. Then some isomorph-isms between them are obtained. Secondly, by introducing some concepts of a weak convolution invertible element, a weak co-inner coaction and a strongly relative co-inner coaction, a sufficient condition for C×(superscript r subscript H) D to be isomorphic to C(The symbol is abbreviated)(subscript v) D is obtained, where v∈WC (C, H) and the coaction of H on D is right strongly relative co-inner. Finally, the duality theorem for a generalized smash coproduct over quantum groupoids, (C×(superscript l subscript H) H)×(superscript l subscript H)(subscript *) H(superscript *)≌C(The symbol is abbreviated)(subscript v) (H×(superscript l subscript H)(subscript *) H(superscript *)), is obtained.
A SURVEY ON WEAK HOPF ALGEBRAS

Abstract:The theory of weak Hopf algebras is a development of the theory of Hopf algebras, which is important in the theory of quantum groups and the related theory of mathematical physics. In this paper, we give a survey of this theory and its applications.Firstly, we review some concepts related to weak Hopf algebras and their relationship and moreover, some algebraical structures. Secondly, we collect the generalizations of quantum double, i.e. quantum quasi-double and quantum G-double, constructed from some certain weak Hopf algebras so as to obtain a class of singular solutions of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation (QYBE). Their properties are also introduced in this part. Thirdly, as the important examples of weak Hopf algebras, some weaken quantized enveloping algebra are given which are associated with some generalizations of Lie algebra, such as generalized Kac-Moody algebra, Borcherds superalgebras. Moreover, their algebraic structures are discussed such that one can understand them clearly. Finally, some generalized notions of tensor category are introduced including pre-tensor category and weak tensor category and their braidings. They can be realized respectively from the categories of representations of the related classes of weak Hopf algebras and their quantum quasi-doubles. As the categorical version of a (singular) solutions of the QYBE, a general Yang-Baxter operator is studied. In summary, we list the diagrams of relations among these kinds of categories.

Abstract:Let ${U}_q(sl_2)$ be the quantized enveloping algebra associated to the simple Lie algebra $sl_2$. In this paper, we study the quantum double $D_q$ of the Borel subalgebra ${U}_q((sl_2)^{\leq 0})$ of ${U}_q(sl_2)$. We construct an analogue of Kostant--Lusztig ${Z}[v,v^{-1}]$-form for $D_q$ and show that it is a Hopf subalgebra. We prove that, over an algebraically closed field, every simple $D_q$-module is the pullback of a simple ${U}_q(sl_2)$-module through certain surjection from $D_q$ onto ${U}_q(sl_2)$, and the category of finite dimensional weight $D_q$-modules is equivalent to a direct sum of $|k^{\times}|$ copies of the category of finite dimensional weight ${U}_q(sl_2)$-modules. As an application, we recover (in a conceptual way) Chen's results as well as Radford's results on the quantum double of Taft algebra. Our main results allow a direct generalization to the quantum double of the Borel subalgebra of the quantized enveloping algebra associated to arbitrary Cartan matrix.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate weak Hopf algebras introduced in Li (J Algebra 208:72–100, 1998 ; Commun Math Phys 225:191–217, 2002 ) corresponding to quantum algebras U q ( f ( K , H )) (see Wang et al. in Commun Algebra 30:2191–2211, 2002 ). A new class of algebras is defined, which is denoted by 𝔴U^d_q. For d = ((1, 1) | (1, 1)), denote 𝔴U^d_q briefly by 𝔴_1U_q ; for d = ((0, 0) | (0, 0)), denote 𝔴U^d_q briefly by 𝔴_2U_q. In some cases, the necessary and sufficient conditions for 𝔴_1U_q and 𝔴_2U_q to be weak Hopf algebras are given. The PBW bases of 𝔴_1U_q and 𝔴_2U_q are presented. Finally, representations and the center of 𝔴_1U_q are characterized over ℂ with q ∈ℂ which is not a root of unity.

Abstract:Let Uq(sl2) be the quantized enveloping algebra associated to the simple Lie algebra sl2. In this paper, we study the quantum double Dq of the Borel subalgebra Uq((sl2)⩽0) of Uq(sl2). Abstract:In[3]and[6],the Hopf algebra structures of path algebra and path coalgebra on a Hopf quiver and a covering quiver respect to a weight sequence respectively were introduced independently.The main aim of this paper is to show the dually one-to-one correspondent relations between their structures(see Theorems 2.1 and 2.4).As applications,firstly,the authors obtain some important results about the Hopf algebra structure on the quotient of path algebra on a cycle;then,they prove that the Sweedler's fourdimensional Hopf algebra H4 is not only quasi-triangular but also co-quasi-triangular.Lastly,they characterize the graded automorphism group of the Hopf algebras on the path algebra of a Schurian covering quiver, according to that on the path coalgebra of a Schurian Hopf quiver.

Abstract:In order to construct a class of new braided crossed categories in the sense of Turner (cf. Turner, 1994, 2000), we first study some properties of a weak Hopf group-coalgebra introduced in Van Daele and Wang (2004). Then, we develop the fundamental theorem of weak Hopf group-comodules, generalizing the ones both in Bohm et al, (1999) and in Virelizier (2002), and the concept of Yetter-Drinfel'd module over weak crossed structures, generalizing the ones both in Bohm (2000) and Zunino (2004a) by using an approach of Turaev categorical theory introduced in their article by Caenepeel and De Lombaerde (2006). Finally, over a weak crossed Hopf group-coalgebra we introduce an analog of a Drinfel'd quantum double construction and show that the category of modules over the such Drinfel'd quantum doubles is isomorphic to the category of Yetter-Drinfel'd modules as a class of new braided crossed categories.

Abstract:This paper introduces the concepts of cylinder coalgebras and cylinder coproducts for quasitriangular bialgebras,and points out that there exists an anti-coaigebra isomorphism (H,■)■(H,■),where (H,■) is the cylinder coproduct,and (H,■) is the braided coproduct given by Kass.For any finite dimensional Hopf algebra H,the Drinfel'd double (D(H),■D(H)) is proved to be the cylinder coproduct.Let (H,H,R) be copaired Hopf algebras.If R∈Z(H■ H) with inverse R~(-1) and skew inverse ■,then the twisted coalgebra (H■)~(R~(-1)) is constructed via twice twists,whose comultiplication is exactly the cylinder coproduct.Moreover,for any generalized Long dimodule,some solutions for Yang-Baxter equations,four braid pairs and Long equations are constructed via cylinder twists.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a class of non-commutative and non-cocommutative Hopf algebras Hp(α, q, m) and then show that these Hopf algebras can be realized as a quantum double of certain Hopf algebras with respect to Hopf skew pairings (Ap(q, m), Bp(q, m), τα). Furthermore, using the Hopf skew pairing with appropriate group homomorphisms: ϕ : π → Aut (Ap(q, m)) and ψ : π → Aut (Bp(q, m)), we construct a twisted Drinfeld double D(Ap(q, m), Bp(q, m), τ; ϕ, ψ) which is a Turaev [Formula: see text]-coalgebra, where the group [Formula: see text] is a twisted semi-direct square of a group π. Then we obtain its quasi-triangular Turaev [Formula: see text]-coalgebra structure. We also study irreducible representations of Hp(1, q, m) and construct a corresponding R-matrix. Finally, we introduce the notion of a left Yetter–Drinfeld category over a Turaev group coalgebra and show that such a category is a Turaev braided group category by a direct proof, without center construction. As an application, we consider the case of the quasi-triangular Turaev [Formula: see text]-coalgebra structure on our twisted Drinfeld double.
