Abstract:We define a weak quantum Borcherds superalgebra nqd(G), which is a weak Hopf superalgebra. We also discuss the basis and the highest weight modules of nqd(G). Then we study the weak A-form and the classical limit of nqd(G).

Abstract:The theory of weak Hopf algebras is a development of the theory of Hopf algebras, which is important in the theory of quantum groups and the related theory of mathematical physics. In this paper, we give a survey of this theory and its applications.Firstly, we review some concepts related to weak Hopf algebras and their relationship and moreover, some algebraical structures. Secondly, we collect the generalizations of quantum double, i.e. quantum quasi-double and quantum G-double, constructed from some certain weak Hopf algebras so as to obtain a class of singular solutions of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation (QYBE). Their properties are also introduced in this part. Thirdly, as the important examples of weak Hopf algebras, some weaken quantized enveloping algebra are given which are associated with some generalizations of Lie algebra, such as generalized Kac-Moody algebra, Borcherds superalgebras. Moreover, their algebraic structures are discussed such that one can understand them clearly. Finally, some generalized notions of tensor category are introduced including pre-tensor category and weak tensor category and their braidings. They can be realized respectively from the categories of representations of the related classes of weak Hopf algebras and their quantum quasi-doubles. As the categorical version of a (singular) solutions of the QYBE, a general Yang-Baxter operator is studied. In summary, we list the diagrams of relations among these kinds of categories.

Abstract:Let wU be a new weak quantized enveloping algebra associated to a Borcherds superalgebrag.Let H be a Hopf algebra.By further adding commutative group-like elements bik,(C)ik,(g)ik,hik (i ∈ I,k =1,2,…,mi) of a Hopf algebra H to the superalgebra wU,we define an extended superalgebra H (⊕) wU.It is a weak Hopf superalgebra under some conditions.Wealso obtain an extended quantized enveloping algebra by localizing H (⊕) wU with an Ore set.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate weak Hopf algebras introduced in Li (J Algebra 208:72–100, 1998 ; Commun Math Phys 225:191–217, 2002 ) corresponding to quantum algebras U q ( f ( K , H )) (see Wang et al. in Commun Algebra 30:2191–2211, 2002 ). A new class of algebras is defined, which is denoted by 𝔴U^d_q. For d = ((1, 1) | (1, 1)), denote 𝔴U^d_q briefly by 𝔴_1U_q ; for d = ((0, 0) | (0, 0)), denote 𝔴U^d_q briefly by 𝔴_2U_q. In some cases, the necessary and sufficient conditions for 𝔴_1U_q and 𝔴_2U_q to be weak Hopf algebras are given. The PBW bases of 𝔴_1U_q and 𝔴_2U_q are presented. Finally, representations and the center of 𝔴_1U_q are characterized over ℂ with q ∈ℂ which is not a root of unity.
Weak Hopf Quivers, Clifford Monoids and Weak Hopf Algebras

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to use Clifford monoids to define weak Hopf quivers and to construct the corresponding class of weak Hopf algebras, i.e., the semilattice of graded weak Hopf algebras which were found to be useful in obtaining a regular R-matrix of a quantum double without a quasi-triangular structure. We define weak Hopf quivers and classify the semilattice of graded weak Hopf algebra structures over path coalgebras using weak Hopf quivers. This gives, precisely, a generalization of the classification of the graded weak Hopf algebra structures over path coalgebras using such quivers.

Abstract:Let ${\fancyscript G}$ be a generalized Kac–Moody algebra with an integral Borcherds–Cartan matrix. In this paper, we define a d-type weak quantum generalized Kac–Moody algebra $wU^{d}_{q} {\left( {\fancyscript G} \right)}$, which is a weak Hopf algebra. We also study the highest weight module over the weak quantum algebra $wU^{d}_{q} {\left( {\fancyscript G} \right)}$ and weak A-forms of $wU^{d}_{q} {\left( {\fancyscript G} \right)}$.

Abstract:In present paper we define a new kind of weak quantized enveloping algebra wU_q^τ(𝒢) of Borcherds superalgebras 𝒢 . It is a noncommutative and noncocommutative weak graded Hopf algebra. Using localizing with some Ore set, we obtain a different kind of quantized enveloping algebras of Borcherds superalgebras 𝒰_q(𝒢) . It has a homomorphic image which is isomorphic to the usual quantum enveloping algebra U_q(𝒢) of 𝒢 . Moreover, 𝒰_q(𝒢) is isomorphic to a direct sum of U_q(𝒢) and an other algebra as algebras.

Abstract:The major purpose of this paper is to construct a weak Hopf algebra with grading from a family of Hopf algebras, and then to gain a related quantum G-double with regular R-matrix. First, over a field k, we introduce a so-called semilattice graded weak Hopf algebra H=⊕α∈YHα. Then the quantum G-double D′(H) of H is obtained in case that H is commutative. Moreover, it is shown that D′(H) is semisimple (respectively, von Neumann regular) if and only if H is a semisimple (respectively, von Neumann regular) Hopf algebra. At last, a nontrivial example of semilattice graded weak Hopf algebras is obtained.

Abstract:A two-parameter quantum group is obtained from the usual enveloping algebra by adding two commutative grouplike elements. In this paper, we generalize this procession further by adding commutative grouplike elements b ik , c ik , g ik , h ik ( i ∈ I, k = 1,..., m i ) of a Hopf algebra H to the quantized enveloping algebra U q ( G ) of a Borcherds superalgebra G defined by a symmetrizable integral Borcherds–Cartan matrix A = ( a ij ) i,j∈I . Therefore, we define an extended Hopf superalgebra H ⊗′ U q ( G ). We also discuss the basis and the grouplike elements of H ⊗′ U q ( G ).

Abstract:Generalization of Hopf algebraslq (2) by weakening the invertibility of the generatorK, i.e., exchanging its invertibilityKK −1=1 to the regularity K$\bar K$K=K is studied. Two weak Hopf algebras are introduced: a weak Hopf algebrawslq (2) and aJ-weak Hopf algebravslq (2) which are investigated in detail. The monoids of group-like elements ofwslq (2) andvslq (2) are regular monoids, which supports the general conjucture on the connection betweek weak Hopf algebras and regular monoids. A quasi-braided weak Hopf algebraŪqw is constructed fromwslq (2). It is shown that the corresponding quasi-R-matrix is regular Rw $\hat R$ wRw=Rw.

Abstract:We define a new kind quantized enveloping algebra of a generalized Kac-Moody algebra ${\mathcal G}$ by adding a new generator $J$ satisfying $J^m=J$ for some integer $m$. We denote this algebra by $wU_q^{\tau}({\mathcal G})$. This algebra is a weak Hopf algebra if and only if $m=2,3$. In general, it is a bialgebra, and contains a Hopf subalgebra. This Hopf subalgebra is isomorphic to the usually quantum envelope algebra $U_q({\mathcal G})$ of a generalized Kac-Moody algebra ${\mathcal G}$.

Abstract:For a field k and two finite groups G and X, when G acts on X from the right by group automorphisms, there is a Hopf algebra structure on k-space (kX op )* ⋇ kG (see Theorem 2.1), called a non-balanced quantum double and denoted by D X (G). In this paper, some Hopf algebra properties of D X (G) are given, the representation types of D X (G) viewed as a k-algebra are discussed, the algebra structure and module category over D X (G) are studied. Since the Hopf algebra structure of non-balanced quantum double D X (G) generalizes the usual quantum double D(G) for a finite group G, all results about D X (G) in this paper can also be used to describe D(G) as a special case and the universal R-matrix of D X (G) provides more solutions of Yang-Baxter equation.

Abstract:Some introductory concepts and basic definitions of the Lie superalgebras and their quantum deformations are exposed. Especially the induced representation methods in both cases are described. Based on the Kac representation theory we have succeeded in constructing representations of several higher rank superalgebras. When representations of quantum superalgebras are concerned, we have developed a method which can be applied not only to the one-parametric quantum deformations but also to the multi-parametric ones. As an intermediate step the Gel'fand-Zetlin basis description is extended to the case of superalgebras and their quantum deformations. Our approach also allows us to establish in consistent ways defining relations of quantum (super)algebras. Some illustrations are given.
