Abstract:The title compound, C(8)H(11)N(3)O(4)·H(2)O, was synthesized by reaction of 2-azido-acetic acid and ethyl acetyl-acetate. In the crystal packing, mol-ecules are linked by strong inter-molecular O-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into double layers parallel to the ab plane.

Abstract:The title compound, C20H47NO6Si4, was synthesized by per-O-trimethylsilylation of N-acetyl-d-glucosamine using chlorotrimethylsilane in the presence of hexamethyldisiloxane. The trimethylsilyl group and acetamido group are located on the same side of the pyran ring, showing an α-configuration glycoside. One of the trimethylsilyl groups is disordered over two orientations, with site-occupancy factors of 0.625 (9) and 0.375 (9). In the crystal, N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into supramolecular chains along the a-axis direction.

Abstract:Single crystals of the title compound, C19H16N2O4, were obtained under hydro-thermal conditions by an unintended recrystallization of the employed microcrystalline starting material. The [(pyridin-4-yl)meth-oxy]benzoic acid unit is nearly planar, with a maximum deviation from the least-squares plane of 0.194 (2) Å. This plane is inclined by 35.82 (6)° to that defined by the second (pyridin-4-yl)meth-oxy group [in which the largest deviation from the least-squares plane is 0.013 (2) Å]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving the acid hy-droxy group and a pyridine N atom into chains parallel to [-201].

Abstract:The title compound, (1R,2R,3R,5S)-3-(3-chlorophenyl)-1-hydroxy-2-methyl-6-phenyl-8-oxa-6-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-7-one, was synthesized and characterized by H-1 and C-13 NMR and HRMS spectroscopy. Its absolute molecular configuration was investigated by X-ray crystallography. The crystal structure analysis revealed that the structure exhibits intermolecular hydrogen bonds of the type O-H horizontal ellipsis O. The methyl group and chlorophenyl group are located in the cis configuration. The conformation is stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H... O interactions.

Abstract:The title compound, C22H22N2O10, was prepared by the glycosidation method through nitrite displacement on substituted nitrophthalonitrile. The molecule contains a benzene ring, two nitrile groups and an acetyl-protected d-glucose fragment which adopts a chair conformation. The absolute configuration was determined by the use of d-glucose as starting material. All substituents of the protected sugar are in equatorial positions, with the exclusive presence of the α-anomer. It is of monoclinic system, space group P21/c with α = 14.731(2), b = 10.1185(10), c = 17.065(2) Å, β = 98.293(10)°, Z = 4, V = 2517.0(6) Å3, Dc = 1.091 g/cm3, F(000) = 904 and Mr= 413.58. The dihedral angle defined by two benzene rings is 98.23°.

Abstract:The title compound, C10H14N2O5S3, has been synthesized as a key intermediate in the synthesis of topically active carbonic anhydrase inhibitor MK-0507. N-H---O hydrogen bonds are responsible for the formation of centrosymmetric dimers and zigzag molecular chains. The intermolecular non-bonded S---O separation in the crystal structure is 3.415 (2) angstrom, indicating a strong intermolecular interaction between the aminosulfonyl and S-dioxide groups.
