Test program generation for reconfigurable media processor

Abstract:Reconfigurable computing is the promising solution for media processors. Function test is one of the key challenges facing reconfigurable media processor design. A novel test program generation method was proposed. This method is based on generic algorithm to promote the coverage of the test program. The proposed test program generation method was used in the practice of reconfigurable media processor design. Experiment results show that the proposed method can generate the test program effectively and the coverage is significantly higher than that of traditional random generation method.
