Abstract:Electromagnetic reverberation chamber has been widely used in radiated-immunity test due to its low construction cost,short experimental time,effective simulation of the real electromagnetic environment,accurate test result,enhanced test repeatability,small measurement uncertainty,and so on.The application of the reverberation chamber requires a calibration before the EMI/EMS tests,in which statistical analysis of the calibration data proves the field homogeneity in the working volume and provides the necessary parameters for EMI/EMS tests.The key parameters include field uniformity,quality factor,average normalized electric field,receive antenna calibration factor and insertion loss,among which receive antenna calibration factor and insertion loss are the basic parameters to obtain the electromagnetic emission power.In this paper,in order to verify repeatability of the test in reverberation chamber,the antenna calibration factor and insertion loss of our developed reverberation chamber is investigated at the calibration stage.Calibrations with different transmit antenna positions and directions are investigated by measurement carefully.It is indicated that the key parameters of the reverberation chamber have good testing repeatability and this will ensure good test repeatability for electromagnetic susceptibility test and electromagnetic emission test.The test results prove that there is a time-averaged spatially homogenous field distribution inside the chamber.All test results reveal that this reverberation chamber conforms to the specification of the IEC standard and can be used in the common EMC test. All the test result will be useful for investigation of the mechanism of the reverberation chamber.
