Abstract:The title compound, (1R,2R,3R,5S)-3-(3-chlorophenyl)-1-hydroxy-2-methyl-6-phenyl-8-oxa-6-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-7-one, was synthesized and characterized by H-1 and C-13 NMR and HRMS spectroscopy. Its absolute molecular configuration was investigated by X-ray crystallography. The crystal structure analysis revealed that the structure exhibits intermolecular hydrogen bonds of the type O-H horizontal ellipsis O. The methyl group and chlorophenyl group are located in the cis configuration. The conformation is stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H... O interactions.

Abstract:The title compound, C24H32O8S center dot C3H6O, features three six-membered and two five-membered rings. The six-membered rings adopt chair, boat and slightly distorted boat conformations whereas one five-membered ring adopts an approximate envelope conformation and the other a twist conformation. Disorder was modelled for the ethylthio group with the ethyl-C atoms resolved over three positions with occupancies of 0.58 (4), 0.23 (4) and 0.19 (3). Abstract:The title compound, C15H17NO6, is approximately planar, with dihedral angles of 3.11 (4) and 2.12 (4)degrees between the connecting aminomethylene unit and the planar part of the dioxane ring, and between the dimethoxybenzyl ring and the aminomethylene group, respectively. The dioxane ring exhibits a half-boat conformation, in which the C atom between the dioxane O atoms is 0.5471 (8) angstrom out of the plane. The molecule has an intramolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond which may stabilize the planar conformation. In the crystal, weak intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bonding contacts, result in the formation of sheets parallel to the ab plane.

Abstract:The title compound, C(19)H(19)NO(10), was obtained from the reaction of α-d-1-bromo-2,3,4-tri-O-acetylxylose with N-hy-droxy-phthalimide in the presence of potassium carbonate. The asymmetric unit contains two independent mol-ecules, in which the O-CH-O-N torsion angles are 73.0 (4) and 65.0 (4)°. The hexa-pyranosyl rings adopt chair conformations and the substituent groups are in equatorial positions. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by nonclassical C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
