Abstract:The title compound, C14H14BrNO4, contains a tricyclic ring system including three contiguous stereocenters all of which exhibit an R configuration. The cyclo-hexa-none ring adopts a chair conformation. The central oxane ring assumes a strained envelope conformation, with five of the ring atoms being nearly coplanar with the bromo-phenyl group and with the C atom adjacent to the O atom and fused with the cyclo-hexa-none ring as the flap. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Abstract:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(13)H(10)FN(3)OS(2), contains two independent molecules, which differ slightly in the relative orientations of the triazole and ethylsulfanyl groups with respect to the planar thiochromen-4-one frameworks. The dihedral angles between the mean planes of the triazole groups and the corresponding six-membered C(5)OS rings are 56.8 (1) and 52.9 (1)degrees, while the S-C-S-C dihedral angles are -11.7 (2) and -16.3 (2)degrees. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds link the molecules in a stacked arrangement along the a axis. A weak intramolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot center dot O interaction results in the formation of a non-planar five-membered ring.

Each molecule contains two six-membered rings and one five-membered ring. The five-membered ring displays an envelope conformation with the C atom linking the epoxy group as the flap, while the two six-membered rings show half-chair conformations. Abstract:The title compound, C(20)H(16)N(2)O(4)S, was prepared by introduction of a 2-nitro-benzyl group to 2-(furan-2-yl)-2,3-dihydro-1,5-benzothia-zepin-4(5H)-one via an alkaline-catalysed reaction. The thia-zepine ring adopts a twist-boat conformation. The furan ring is oriented at dihedral angles of 56.75 (14) and 10.82 (14)° with respect to the two benzene rings, while the two benzene rings make a dihedral angle of 62.96 (10)°. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur in the crystal structure.
