Intramolecular C—H⋯N hydrogen bonds cause the formation of two further five-membered planar rings. Abstract:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C17H16N2O2, contains two crystallographically independent molecules, with methylphenyl and methoxyphenyl substituents in different orientations with respect to the pyrazole ring. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N and C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds link the molecules; the O-H center dot center dot center dot N bonds generate centrosymmetric dimers, and these are connected by CH center dot center dot center dot O bonds to generate one-dimensional double-stranded chains.

Abstract:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(19)H(22)N(2)O(2), the pyrazolidinone ring has an envelope conformation, with the C atom attached to the 4-methoxy-phenyl ring displaced by 0.354 (3) Å from the plane of the other ring atoms. The 4-iso-propyl-phenyl ring is oriented with respect to the 4-meth-oxy-phenyl ring at a dihedral angle of 88.94 (3)°. Intra-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds result in the formation of two planar five-membered rings, which are oriented with respect to the adjacent 4-isopropyl-phenyl and 4-meth-oxy-phenyl rings at dihedral angles of 4.05 (3) and 0.50 (3)°, respectively. Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C15H15N5O2S, the triazole ring forms a π56 configuration in which the N between the two C atoms is sp2 hybridized. Abstract:The title compound (C17H16N2O3) has been prepared by the oxidation of 1,5-diarylpyrzolidin-3-one with oxygen in the presence of FeCl3, and its structure was characterized by elemental analysis, IR, H-1 NMR and X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. The crystal belongs to triclinic, space group P $(1) over bar $ with a = 6.6600(13), b = 8.4200(17), c =14.060(3) Angstrom, alpha = 85.61(3), beta = 76.89(3), gamma = 81.18(3)degrees, Z = 2, D-c = 1.298 g/cm(3), mu = 0.090mm(-1), F(000) = 312, R = 0.048 and wR = 0.1231. X-ray analysis revealed that there exist a large conjugation system in the pyrazole ring, a stable enol form and intermolecular hydrogen bonding as well as network structure in. the crystal.
