Abstract:With the expansion of city, transportation infrastructures have been built from ground to air and underground. In the past, we put too much attention to construction, however, the notion is changing, and management is getting more and more important, especially after the infrastructure construction. In order to have an effective traffic management and traffic guide on urban expressway, we have to make correct evaluation on urban expressway traffic. This paper will introduce you an urban expressway traffic information-management and analysis-evaluation system based on GIS, from which we can get static and dynamic traffic information, service marks of parts of or entire expressway. In this paper, it gives an introduction of the function, design of the system in detail. Finally, an example of shanghai will be given to explain the application of the system.
