Abstract:According to the demand of information sharing in urban traffic management,an approach of traffic management information sharing based on WebGIS was proposed.Firstly,the characteristic of traffic information sharing was analyzed and the Web Services technique was introduced to WebGIS.Then,the system architecture of urban traffic management information sharing based on WebGIS was presented and the main layer functions were also analyzed.Consequently,three main traffic management information sharing techniques were proposed and the implementation approach was also introduced.Finally,the implementation plan was introduced as well as the application in the urban traffic management information system in Hangzhou.The application results indicate that WebGIS can be a good support technique for the urban traffic management information sharing.
