Abstract:In the title compound, C22H26OS2, prepared from (-)-1R-cis-caronaldehyde, the 1,3-dithiane ring adopts a chair conformation. An intra-molecular O - H⋯S hydrogen bond influences the mol-ecular conformation. In the crystal, weak inter-molecular C - H⋯S and C - H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into chains propagating along [010].

The planar dithiocarbazate unit is tilted with respect to the phenyl plane with a dihedral angle of 10.96 (12)°. Intermolecular N—H...S hydrogen bonding stabilizes the crystal structure. A C—H...π interaction is also observed in the crystal structure.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C9H9N3O2S2, were obtained from a condensation reaction of S-methyl dithiocarbazate and 3-nitrobenzaldehyde. The planar dithiocarbazate moiety subtends an angle of 10.54 ( 8)degrees with respect to the plane of the nitrophenyl ring. Electron delocalization occurs between the imino and dithiocarboxyl groups. The partially overlapped arrangement of parallel benzene rings of neighboring molecules, with a face-to-face distance of 3.343 ( 8) angstrom, suggests the existence of pi-pi stacking.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(8)H(5)NOS(2), the non-H atoms are approximately coplanar [maxium deviation = 0.060 (3) Å]. The dihedral angle between the least-squares planes of the pyridine and 1,3-dithiol-2-one rings is 5.96 (17)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and by an S⋯S close contact [3.510 (5) Å].

Abstract:The title compound, C13H8Cl2O2, crystallizes with two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. Each of the two unique molecules is twisted about the C—C single bonds, making dihedral angles of 24.29 (5) and 73.01 (5)° between the two rings. In the crystal structure, the molecules are interlinked into columns along the b axis by intermolecular O—H⋯O and C—H⋯O interactions and short Cl⋯Cl and O⋯Cl contacts. In addition, the crystal packing is further stabilized by weak C—H⋯π interactions.

Abstract:The title compound, C24H32O8S center dot C3H6O, features three six-membered and two five-membered rings. The six-membered rings adopt chair, boat and slightly distorted boat conformations whereas one five-membered ring adopts an approximate envelope conformation and the other a twist conformation. Disorder was modelled for the ethylthio group with the ethyl-C atoms resolved over three positions with occupancies of 0.58 (4), 0.23 (4) and 0.19 (3). In the crystal, an O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond links the molecules into chains.

Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].

Abstract:The title compound, C(20)H(12)N(2)S(2), was prepared by the reaction of o-phthalic acid and 2-amino-thio-phenol under microwave irradation. The phenyl ring, A, and the benzothia-zolyl rings, B and C, are planar; the dihedral angles are A/B = 19.9 (11), A/C = 87.8 (3) and B/C = 84.4 (4)°. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecule, forming zigzag chains parallel to the c axis.
