Abstract:Based on PCI bus interface,a data communication card for transmitting data from host computer to peripheral equipment was designed. The field program gate arra y (FPGA) was applied in the interface card to achieve the functions of time and logic control. The data could be transmitted in the DMA mode. The driver control ling communication card was developed. In the design of application software, tw o buffers A and B were used to communicate with the FIFO on the card alternatel y. Thus the high speed continuous data transmission was achieved. Through the t est of the communication performance, the bandwidth of the data link layer is up to 480 Mbit/s.
