Management Process Control System Supporting Agile Supply Chain

Abstract:Agile supply chain management is an important enabling technology for enterprise to achieve agile manufacture. Agile supply chain must be supported by process control technology. We presented a management process control system (MPCS)-a new applying model of workflow management idea. In the MPCS, a concept of information flow frame was proposed, which is an essential basis to define the business process, and makes the MPCS be independent of the application systems. Because of its important characteristics on run-time synchronous coordination, information inheritance, and the ability to support process control based on process instances, the MPCS has good adaptability, availability, scalability, and is capable of accommodating to dynamic applications. It can be a main component of enterprise information infrastructure, and then support applying agile supply chain and workflow ideas to complex process management environment.
