Abstract:The agent-based negotiation between enterprises is an important part of the supply chain management. First, we analyze the key constituents in the supply chain management from multi-agent and single agent's perspective. Then, a general negotiation model according to negotiation features of the supply chain is presented. In the model, we design a flexible protocol and analyze the agent's decision model.

Abstract:This paper tries to apply adaptive multi-agent modeling method to agile supply chain simulation. After a brief introduction to the adaptive multi-agent modeling method, this paper illustrates the concrete modeling process with task allocation problem-a very typical problem in agile supply chain management, and designs a two-leveled reinforcement learning mechanism to improve the model. A simulation approach based on SWARM is presented, and some related topics are also discussed in this paper.

While after reviewing the related research around the world, this paper tries to study agile supply chain from the viewpoint of complex adaptive systems. Under the direction of "adaptation builds complexity", this paper develop a complex adaptive system model of agile supply chain with the bottom-up method, thus making full use of the self-organization character and adaptation to the rapid change of market environment. Abstract:To satisfy customers' personalized requirements in the lowest cost and highest quality in an agile supply chain management system,it is necessary to make optimal working plans based on orders promptly and guarantee the plans' feasibility,constrained by multiple resource limitations from multiple independent and autonomous entities.Planning and coordination are the key components of agile supply chain management and multi-agent system is an effective technology to realize the planning and coordination system in agile supply chain management.In this paper,a planning and coordination scheme of two levels is proposed,then the design and realization of the planning and coordination system based on multi-agent is introduced.It is proved in practice that this solution will greatly enhance enterprises' agility and increase their competence in an environment full of competition,cooperation and dynamics.

Abstract:Based on the agent principles, a two leveled architecture of supply chain management(SCM) was established to integrate the different management systems of the enterprises on a supply chain and to implement the information interchange, the first level is comprised of three function agents which carry out the collaboration and coordination of suppliers, manufacturers and dealers on the supply chain, and the second level is comprised of four interface agents with which the production management module, inventory management module, procurement management module, sale and service management module of different management systems can be conveniently inserted into and removed from the supply chain. The web-based software platform was developed which can support the plug play of different management systems and the reconfiguration of the supply chain.

Abstract:With the new characteristics of global cooperation in supply chains being synthetically considered, a hybrid model to the cooperative negotiation process for the order distribution in supply chain is mainly studied. After reviewing and analyzing some main domestic and overseas processes in cooperative negotiation modeling in supply chain, some problems are subsequently pointed out. For example, the traditional simple multi-agent system (MAS) frameworks which have some limitations, are not suitable for solving modeling complex systems. To solve these problems, thinking with the aid of the multi-agent structure and complex system modeling, the manufacturing supply chain is taken as an example, and a time Petri net production model is adopted to decompose the materials. And then a cooperative negotiation model for the order distribution in supply chain is constructed based on combining multi-agent techniques with time Petri net modeling. The simulation results reveal that the above model helps solve the problems of cooperative negotiation in supply chains.

Abstract:Supply chain can be considered to be a type of complex adaptive system. This paper adopts a high-level Petri nets-based approach to build the multi-agent model of a supply chain, especially discusses the main ideas of approach and the steps for building the aggregation model by using sub-agent substitution, and gives an example. Then this paper builds a simple model of distribution channel system in supply chain, designs the simulation parameters, simulates the dynamic behavior of the distribution channel system through swarm, and finally analyzes the results of the simulation.

Abstract:A novel theoretical model of the component agent was proposed based on multi-layer finite state machine (FSM) and the requirements of collaborative design. And a new collaborative design-oriented product data model (CDPDM) was put forward. The CDPDM included three basic data modules (function data, structure data and management data) and a remote data modification module. This model had five characteristics: neutral representation, reusability, knowledge engineering, remote data modification and self-management. By combining the theoretical agent model with the CDPDM, a product component agent frame was proposed and some key issues, e. g. environment model construction, program and data encapsulation, software reuse and strategy set organization, were discussed. The practical application in demonstration enterprise shows that the proposed system can enhance the ability of the collaborative product design.

Abstract:Supply chain is not just a continuous or a discrete system, but a continuous-discrete combined system. Existing supply chain dynamics models cannot show the continuous-discrete combined features. In this paper, Agent-based Model and System Dynamics Model are used in AnyLogic to do modeling and simulation of supply chain, which contains factory, distributer, retailer and consumer. Bullship effect is showed in the simulation results.

Integrated approach to modeling emergent structures in supply chains

Abstract:The entire structure modeling in supply chains is mainly discussed. Based on the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of system dynamics and agent based modeling, aiming at the demand of the availability and applicability of supply chain modeling, the above two methods are combined together and an integrated approach for modeling supply chain is presented. And then a simple supply chain prototype and its agents' internal structures by using the proposed approach are implemented and the effects of order fulfillment strategies and attractiveness decay time on the structure of the supply chain are subsequently analyzed. At last, the integrated method is used to study the distribution capacity planning. The results reveal that the integrated method is rather effective to deal with the emergent structures and behaviors in supply chains, which markedly reduce the a-priori complexity of the supply chain model.

Abstract:This paper proposes a strategic multi layers model based on multi agents approach for supply chain system. It introduces a formulation and a solution methodology for the problem of supply chain design and modeling. In this paper we describe and analyze the relationships among main entities of a supply chain, such as suppliers, producers, and distribution centers, in the aim to design the agents and define their behavior. We also study, how these relationships can be formulated in a multi layer model. Finally, a generic multi agent model is illustrated.

Abstract:Supply chain can be considered as a complex adaptive system. Currently the supply chain simulation based on multi-agent is confined to the local problem, lacking comprehensive process descriptions and simulation for supply chain. Using SCOR as a blueprint, the Swarm-based supply chain operation model was built with a multi-agent modeling method based on High-Level Petri Nets. This model provides an effective description of the agent structure and the business activities in supply chain, which includes the four basic management processes (Plan, Source, Make Deliver), and also describes the resource allocation and market competitive activities. While it also provides an effective means of a class diagram mapping, and lays a good foundation for the simulation system programming and for discovering the supply chain evolution.

Abstract:In accordance with development trend of dynamic alliance and Chinese national conditions, the agile supply chain based on coordination center was proposed to implement coordination of production and circulation among autonomous enterprises with different supply chains in products domain and hierarchy. The conceptual model was built and the demand/supply relation among correlated enterprises were implemented through coordination center to form supply chain system. The constitution and functions of the system were discussed. To benefit reengineering of the system and adapt fast changes of demands, the main business processes of the system, such as purchase, selling and stock etc. were designed as business agents with unified structure and interfaces to achieve information and provide services.
