Based on the theory of software reuse, this paper gives a method of modeling based on class repository. By using object reuse, CIMS model can be set up quickly.

Abstract:The traditional CIMS reference architecture is not practically effective in the system analysis, design and implementation. The paper introduces a new CIMS application architecture consisting of three layers: data layer, logic layer and controlling layer, and specifies the composition and relationship of each layer in detail. Moreover, on the basis of the reference model,an instructive system analysis and design method is described, which has been proved to be successful in Qingshan Paper Mill' CIMS.
Research on Reuse Modeling for Technical Objects Based on Modular Product Platform

Abstract:Aimed at the new demands of reuse for modular product platform, a reuse modeling frame of technical objects was proposed. A reuse model was described by reuse depth dimensionality, reuse span dimensionality and reuse pattern dimensionality in detail. Based on the reuse process model, the reuse technology was discussed from the standpoint of spandepth dimensionalities and depth- pattern dimensionalities respectively. The requirement mapping and the matching evaluation were analyzed as two key technologies. At the same time, the reuse strategies were presented. Combined with the actual data in a steam turbine manufacturing enterprise, the reuse scenes of configuration design were achieved based on live sequence chart. In the scenes, the orders and strategies of technical objects were presented. The applications indicate that the method realizes the efficient reuse, design reusing, simplifies the retrieval process during the configuration design and variation design and improves the personnel efficiency in manufacturing enterprises.

Abstract:The process of research and development of C4ISR (Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, C4ISR) system is a multiple cycle iterative, function continuously improved, evolution process, thus the simulation model and system supporting C4ISR system at different stages must be with multi granularity, phase correlation characteristics. The focus of this paper is how to use system simulation model and system correlation reasonably and efficiently, improve reusability and interoperability of simulation model between various simulation applications, and make the various simulation applications no longer fragmented, uncorrelated. In this paper, the modeling methods of the reuse based on the unified modeling simulation language (UMSL), the reuse based on model framework, the reuse based on component model (Library), the reuse based on general model, the reuse based on unified simulation platform is studied, the reuse modeling techniques used often or developed at present on a warship fleet C4ISR system are introduced.

Abstract:In this paper, on the basis of analyzing the features and shortcomings of two modeling methods provided by current integrated modeling environment-the modeling language method and the knowledge-based automatic modeling method, the concept of modeling process reuse is proposed to help non-expert users to construct models and make fully use of model resources in the organization. The modeling process is proved to be reusable by studying human modeling process. The methods for the knowledge organization and processing in modeling process reuse are also put forward.

Abstract:Aimed at the requirements of design reuse in product development,a design reuse system based on integrated model was proposed to support multi-level and multi-granularity design reuse.Case retrieval system was used to realize similar case retrieval of product and parts,suitable for reuse of design knowledge which was difficult to represent by model.Product structure configuration system could realize rapid structure configuration for a kind of variant products,suitable for reuse of parts' structure and module.Based on this,parametric system could drive parametric model by mapping property sets,suitable for reuse of parts' parameters and features.Finally,this method was validated by the development of variant design system of multi-level design reuse for a shock absorber plant.

Abstract:This paper addresses the application of STEP techniques in CIM environment and explores the principles of establishing STEP feature model, realizing feature-based modeling in CAD/CAPP, implementing STEP toolkit and carrying out model mapping. Based on these approaches, a kind of “Plug and Play” technique for feature mapping and information integration is discussed. Finally, a system independent method to feature-based CAD/CAPP integration is presented.

Abstract:To realize data integration and process integration in contemporary integrated manufacturing system (CIMS), a framework of integrated product mode (IPM) is presented. This framework is composed of master model (MM) and domain model (DM). By building a model for extracting DM from MM, the reusability of IPM is improved significantly. In addition, a software prototype for integrated product modeling is developed-SCC-ProModeling, which is pretty practical as it can integrate legacy systems effectively. Finally, the key technologies of SCC-ProModeling are discussed. SCC-ProModeling has been applied successfully to the "Model Project" of Chinese aerospace area.

Abstract:Product configuration in families of Integrated Control Systems (ICSs) involves resolving thousands of configurable parameters and is, therefore, time-consuming and error-prone. Typically, these systems consist of highly similar components that need to be configured similarly. For large-scale systems, a considerable portion of the configuration data can be reused, based on such similarities, during the configuration of each individual product. In this paper, we propose a model-based approach to automate the reuse of configuration data based on the similarities within an ICS product. Our approach enables configuration engineers to manipulate the reuse of configuration data, and ensures the consistency of the reused data. Evaluation of the approach, using a number of configured products from an industry partner, shows that more than 60% of configuration data can be automatically reused using our similarity-based approach, thereby reducing configuration effort.

Abstract:To shorter product development time, this paper proposed an approach to developing feature based parametric product modeling systems which are suitable for integrated engineering design in CIMS environment. The architecture of ZD-MCADII and the characteristics of its each module are introduced in detail. ZD-MCADII's product data is managed by an object-oriented database management system OSCAR, and the product model is built according to the standard STEP. For the product design is established on a unified product model, all product data are globally associated in ZD-MCADII. ZD-MCADII provides various design features to facilitate the product design, and supports the integrity of CAD, CAPP and CAM.

Abstract:Reuse is viewed as a realistically effective approach to solving software crisis. For an organization that wants to build a reuse program, technical and non-technical issues must be considered in parallel. In this paper, a model-based approach to building systematic reuse program is presented. Component-based reuse is currently a dominant approach to software reuse. In this approach, building the right reusable component model is the first important step. In order to achieve systematic reuse, a set of component models should be built from different perspectives. Each of these models will give a specific view of the components so as to satisfy different needs of different persons involved in the enterprise reuse program. There already exist some component models for reuse from technical perspectives. But less attention is paid to the reusable components from a non-technical view, especially from the view of process and management. In our approach, a reusable component model—FLP model for reusable component—is introduced. This model describes components from three dimensions (Form, Level, and Presentation) and views components and their relationships from the perspective of process and management. It determines the sphere of reusable components, the time points of reusing components in the development process, and the needed means to present components in terms of the abstraction level, logic granularity and presentation media. Being the basis on which the management and technical decisions are made, our model will be used as the kernel model to initialize and normalize a systematic enterprise reuse program.

Abstract:The situation of model reuse was introduced respectively,which included the modeling and modeling language,model conversion,model description information management and model software reuse. The problems of model reuse were analyzed and the method of model reuse based on Web Services was proposed. The model service’s implementation,description and integration were discussed. Taking the Modern Catchment Geomorphic Evolution Model (MCGEM) with the example,the MCGEM Services’ implementing and integrating procedure based on Web Services were introduced. The results show that this method is feasible and valid and will improve model reuse ability.

It affects the improvement of quality and the effectiveness of component library, that how to adopt an accurate, application based method to evaluate the reusability of component. In terms of the concrete characteristics of component quality, this paper obtains reusability metric model based on the reusability of component. Method that was used to adjust the values according to the feedback information is described. Experiment results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:Enterprise modeling is the foundation of CIMS and BPR implementation. In this paper, the issues of knowledge management for enterprise modeling and the corresponding solutions are interpreted. The knowledge management functions of a web-based enterprise model repository system are introduced at first, with the emphasis on the knowledge abstraction process from initial established project models to reusable reference models, as well as a fuzzy data mining algorithm for enhancing effective reference model classification and retrieval. Then a collaborative modeling framework based on model knowledge management in the Internet environment is proposed to guide industrial applications.
