Abstract:We construct the boundary algebraic Bethe ansatz for the $AdS_3 \times S^3 \times T^4$ integrable reflection problem restricted to the massless sector. We derive the double-row monodromy and find the appropriate formulation of the so-called {\it dual} equation of Sklyanin's. We perform the algebraic Bethe ansatz based on Sklyanin's recipe, and obtain the RTT (more properly RTRT) relations, from which the spectrum is obtained by repeated action of the $B$ operator on the pseudovacuum. We obtain the Bethe equations by cancelling the unwanted terms, and provide conjectures for the exact formulas for any number of quantum particles and magnonic excitations.

Abstract:The graded off-diagonal Bethe ansatz method is proposed to study supersymmetric quantum integrable models (i.e., quantum integrable models associated with superalgebras). As an example, the exact solutions of the <math>SU(2|2)</math> vertex model with both periodic and generic open boundary conditions are constructed. By generalizing the fusion techniques to the supersymmetric case, a closed set of operator product identities about the transfer matrices are derived, which allows us to give the eigenvalues in terms of homogeneous or inhomogeneous <math>T−Q</math> relations. The method and results provided in this paper can be generalized to other high rank supersymmetric quantum integrable models.

As an example, the exact solutions of the su(n)-invariant spin chain model with both periodic and non-diagonal boundaries are derived by constructing the nested T-Q relations based on the operator product identities among the fused transfer matrices and the asymptotic behavior of the transfer matrices.

Abstract:A one-dimensional model for two-band SU(2) bosons with isospin exchange interaction is solved by means of the nested Bethe-ansatz method. The features of the ground state and low-lying excitation state are discussed explicitly by numerical and analytical method. The thermodynamics of the system is analyzed by means of the thermodynamic Bethe-ansatz method, and some physical quantities, such as magnetization, specific heat, etc. are obtained explicitly in some special cases.

Abstract:We study the asymmetric simple exclusion process with non-diagonal boundary terms under a specific constraint. A symmetric chiral basis is constructed and a special string solution of the Bethe ansatz equations corresponding to the steady state is presented. Using the coordinate Bethe ansatz method, we derive a concise expression for the steady state. The current and density profile in the steady state are also studied.

Abstract:In this paper we present two new numerical methods for studying thermodynamic quantities of integrable models. As an example of the effectiveness of these two approaches, results from numerical solutions of all sets of Bethe ansatz equations, for small Heisenberg chains, and Monte Carlo simulations in quasi-momentum space, for a relatively larger chains, are presented. Our results agree with those obtained by the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz (TBA). As an application of these ideas, the pairwise entanglement between two nearest neighbors at finite temperatures is studied.

Abstract:Integral formulae for form factors of a large family of charged local operators in SU(2) invariant Thirring model are given extending Smirnov's construction of form factors of chargeless local operators in the sine-Gordon model. New abelian symmetry acting on this family of local operators is found. It creates Lukyanov's operators which are not in the above family of local operators in general.

Abstract:We study Olshanski twisted Yangian based models, known as one-dimensional "soliton non-preserving" open spin chains, by means of algebraic Bethe ansatz. The even case, when the bulk symmetry is $\mathfrak{gl}_{2n}$ and the boundary symmetry is $\mathfrak{sp}_{2n}$ or $\mathfrak{gl}_{2n}$, was studied in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1710.08409" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1710.08409">arXiv:1710.08409</a>. In the present work, we focus on the odd case, when the bulk symmetry is $\mathfrak{gl}_{2n+1}$ and the boundary symmetry is $\mathfrak{so}_{2n+1}$. We explicitly construct Bethe vectors and present a more symmetric form of the trace formula. We use the composite model approach and $Y(\mathfrak{gl}_n)$-type recurrence relations to obtain recurrence relations for twisted Yangian based Bethe vectors, for both even and odd cases.

Abstract:We derive by the traditional algebraic Bethe ansatz method the Bethe equations for the general open XXZ spin chain with non-diagonal boundary terms under the Nepomechie constraint [J. Phys. A 37 (2004), 433-440, <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="hep-th/0304092" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/hep-th/0304092">arXiv:hep-th/0304092</a>]. The technical difficulties due to the breaking of $\mathsf{U}(1)$ symmetry and the absence of a reference state are overcome by an algebraic construction where the two-boundary Temperley-Lieb Hamiltonian is realised in a new $U_{\mathfrak{q}}\mathfrak{sl}_2$-invariant spin chain involving infinite-dimensional Verma modules on the edges [J. High Energy Phys. 2022 (2022), no. 11, 016, 64 pages, <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2207.12772" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2207.12772">arXiv:2207.12772</a>]. The equivalence of the two Hamiltonians is established by proving Schur-Weyl duality between $U_{\mathfrak{q}}\mathfrak{sl}_2$ and the two-boundary Temperley-Lieb algebra. In this framework, the Nepomechie condition turns out to have a simple algebraic interpretation in terms of quantum group fusion rules.

Abstract:An exact form is presented for the axial-vector Bethe-Salpeter equation, which is valid when the quark-gluon vertex is fully dressed. A Ward-Takahashi identity for the Bethe-Salpeter kernel is derived therefrom and solved for a class of dressed quark-gluon vertex models. The solution provides a symmetry-preserving closed system of gap and vertex equations. The analysis can be extended to the vector equation. This enables a comparison between the responses of pseudoscalar- and scalar meson masses to nonperturbatively dressing the quark-gluon vertex. The result indicates that dynamical chiral symmetry breaking enhances spin-orbit splitting in the meson spectrum.

Abstract:A novel Bethe ansatz scheme is proposed to investigate the exact physical properties of an integrable anisotropic quantum spin chain with competing interactions among the nearest, next nearest neighbor and chiral three spin couplings, where the boundary condition is the twisted one. The eigenvalue of the transfer matrix is characterized by its zero roots instead of the traditional Bethe roots. Based on the exact solution, the conserved momentum and charge operators of this U(1)-symmetry broken system are obtained. The ground state energy and density of rapidities are calculated. It is found that there exist three kinds of elementary excitations and the corresponding dispersion relations are obtained, which gives a different picture from that with periodic boundary condition.

Abstract:The exact solution of the D2(1) quantum spin chain with generic non-diagonal boundary reflections is obtained. It is found that the generating functional of conserved quantities of the system can be factorized as the product of transfer matrices of two anisotropic XXZ spin chains with open boundary conditions. By using the factorization identities and the fusion technique, the eigenvalues and the Bethe ansatz equations of the model are obtained. The eigenvalues are also parameterized by the zero roots of the transfer matrix, and the patterns of root distributions are obtained. Based on them, ground states energy and the surface energies induced by the twisted boundary magnetic fields in the thermodynamic limit are obtained. These results are checked by the numerical calculations. The corresponding isotropic limit is also discussed. The results given in this paper are the foundation to study the exact physical properties of high rank Dn(1) model by using the nested processes.

Abstract:We consider a generalized model with SU(3)-invariant R-matrix, and review the nested Bethe Ansatz for constructing eigenvectors of the transfer matrix. A sum formula for the scalar product between generic Bethe vectors, originally obtained by Reshetikhin [11], is discussed. This formula depends on a certain partition function Z(\{\lambda\},\{\mu\}|\{w\},\{v\}), which we evaluate explicitly. In the limit when the variables \{\mu\} or \{v\} approach infinity, this object reduces to the domain wall partition function of the six-vertex model Z(\{\lambda\}|\{w\}). Using this fact, we obtain a new expression for the off-shell scalar product (between a generic Bethe vector and a Bethe eigenvector), in the case when one set of Bethe variables tends to infinity. The expression obtained is a product of determinants, one of which is the Slavnov determinant from SU(2) theory. It extends a result of Caetano [13].

Abstract:The recently proposed exact quantum solution for two $\delta$-function-interacting particles with a mass-ratio $3\!:\!1$ in a hard-wall box [Y. Liu, F. Qi, Y. Zhang and S. Chen, iScience 22, 181 (2019)] violates the conventional necessary condition for a Bethe Ansatz integrability, the condition being that the system must be reducible to a superposition of semi-transparent mirrors that is invariant under all the reflections it generates. In this article, we found a way to relax this condition: some of the semi-transparent mirrors of a known self-invariant mirror superposition can be replaced by the perfectly reflecting ones, thus breaking the self-invariance. The proposed name for the method is \emph{Asymmetric Bethe Ansatz} (Asymmetric BA). As a worked example, we study in detail the bound states of the nominally non-integrable system comprised of a bosonic dimer in a $\delta$-well. Finally, we show that the exact solution of the Liu-Qi-Zhang-Chen problem is a particular instance of the the Asymmetric BA.

Abstract:The validity of Bethe ansatz wave function without the backward scattering for the problem of impurity in correlated hosts with periodic boundary condition is illustrated by a simple example of quantum mechanics. An long being overlooked point in solving Hubbard model by means of Bethe ansatz is indicated. A possible repairing on the Hamiltonian is suggested so that the well known solution is still valid.

Entanglement asymmetry in CFT with boundary symmetry breaking

Abstract:We examine the behavior of the entanglement asymmetry in the ground state of a (1+1)-dimensional conformal field theory with a boundary condition that explicitly breaks a bulk symmetry. Our focus is on the asymmetry of a subsystem $A$ originating from the symmetry-breaking boundary and extending into a semi-infinite bulk. By employing the twist field formalism, we derive a universal expression for the asymmetry, showing that the asymptotic behavior for large subsystems is approached algebraically, with an exponent which is twice the conformal dimension of a boundary condition-changing operator. As a secondary result, we also establish a similar asymptotic behavior for the string order parameter. Our exact analytical findings are validated through numerical simulations in the critical Ising and 3-state Potts models.
