Abstract:Iron oxide nanoparticles were prepared by adsorption phase synthesis (APS), impregnation method (IM) and precipitation synthesis (PS). The grain sizes of Fe2O3 prepared by APS and IM were much smaller than that by PS. In the APS process, when the reaction took place in the adsorption layer, strong chemical bonds between Fe2O3 particles and silica could be built, which inhibited the phase transformation from gamma-Fe2O3 to alpha-Fe2O3 during the calcination process. The physical interaction did not restrain the crystal transformation although the restriction on the aggregation of Fe2O3 particles was obvious.

Abstract:In the water-in-oil microemulsion system of Triton X-100 1-hexanol, cyclohexane and Fe(NO3)(3) aqueous solution, alpha-Fe2O3 ultrafine particles were prepared by the method of precipitation using NH3. From transmission electron micrographs the mean altimeter of particles is about 3nm. The uniformity of particle is good. Theme result have been confirmed by the method of Mossbauer spectrum measurement. the conditions of preparation of alpha-Fe2O3 ultrafine particles could be controlled easily and the reaction medium could be used cyclically.

Abstract:In order to prepare magnetic.particles having high qualities in their shape, size and magnetic property etc. satisfying the needs for a duplicating developer, the effects of process selection and conditions in the fabrication of ultrafine Fe3O4 particles through the alkaline method are studied. These include the relationship among the raw materials, alkalinity ratio, tempreature, rate of air-flow and time of oxidation etc. Properties of particles of Japanese and Chinese origin are compared with those made with the optimized process under discussion. It is shown that properties of products made with this process has attained or surpassed the standard of domestic products and are on a par with the level of imported magnetic particles from Japan.

Abstract:The magnetic, rheological and many of the other physical properties of ferrofluids have a direct bearing on the size and dispersion of magnetic particles. This paper describes the preparation of Fe3O4 ferrofluids by chemical coprecipitation. The structure and morphology of Fe3O4 nanoparticles were characterized be means of XRD, TEM and SEM. A narrow particle size distribution was obtained from the magnetization curve using the free-form-model based on Bayesian inference theory. The results showed that the produced magnetic particles are accurate in composition, quite uniform in size and dispersed homogeneously in the carrier. Ferrofluids exhibited good superparamagnetism and stability of a colloidal system under the magnetic field.

Abstract:Fe3O4 nanoparticles were analyzed by co-precipitation method,where the effects of the process factors such as initial pH,temperature,time of treatment on the crystal purity and size of the prepared particles were investigated.At the same time,the influence of organic compound covering products and the system of ethanol-water were studied.The structure and particle size of the nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD) and transmission electron microscope(TEM).It was shown that the products were perfect grown crystal nanoparticles Fe3O4 with the average particle size of about 14 nm.

With the increasing of reaction time and temperature, the size of the samples decreases.

Abstract:Monodisperse Fe3O4 Nano particles have been successfully synthesized by solvothermal method using water and ethylene glycol as solvents, and their sizes could be controlled by changing the ratio of water to ethylene glycol. Subsequent surface modification of Fe3O4 had been carried out using tetraethyl orthosilicate and 3-Aminopropyl triethoxysilane as modification agents. The magnetic materials have been characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. It was verified that SiO2 layers have been coated on the surface of Fe3O4 and NH2- groups have been grafted on the spherical surface of magnetic materials.

Abstract:Nearly monodispersed sphere-like Fe3O4/SiO2 composite particles were prepared via a direct silica coating using Tween-80 of modified aggregates of Fe3O4 nanoparticles obtained by the emulsion droplet solvent evaporation method. The size and magnetite proportion of the composite particles were tunable by controlling the size of the aggregates and/or the thickness of the silica coating layer.

Abstract:A liquid-control-precipitation (LCP) method to prepare Co3O4 ultrafines was reported in this paper, The results shown that non-agglomerated and well dispersed Co3O4 ultrafine particles with the averages size of 9 nm were successfully prepared only by a liquid control precipitation technique without adding any polymer protecting agent, The LCP method possesses the advantage of simple processing, cheap cost and high yield.

Abstract:Fe3O4 nano-particles( 1) were successfully prepared by co-recipitation and micro-eactor method. The microstructure and morphology were inverstigated by XRD and TEM. The results showed that 1 exhibited uniform and fine nanocrystalline with diameter of about 15 nm ~ 20 nm,better dispersion,particle size uniformity,and homogeneous morphology. Magnetic measurement indicated that 1 exhibited a superparanmagnetic property and has a saturation magnetization of 62. 24 emu·g- 1.

Abstract:FeCl2 as the precursor, γ-FeOOH was prepared and the process conditions such as reaction temperature, reactants' concentration, NaOH dropping style were deeply investigated. Optimum condition was then concluded. The results indicated that during the crystal seeds' synthesis, temperature and reactants' proportion could influence the crystal seeds' morphology. During the growing process, the dispersion of NaOH in the system was depended both on the macro-mixing and micro-mixing, especially the micro-mixing.

Abstract:Based on the theory of mechanochemistry,the iron powder was ball-milled in high-energy planetary ball mill,Fe3O4 nanoparticles were prepared successfully.The as-formed phases were studied respectively by XRD,SEM,TEM.The nanoparticles of Fe3O4 with the diameter of 30～80 nm.In the system,the relative content of Fe3O4 increased with the milling time,the ratio of grinding media and material and the speed of rotation.

Abstract:Because of aggregation and low chemical stability of nanomagnetic particles, we use Sol-Gel method as surface modification in this paper to improve the disperse ability and the chemical stability of Fe 3 O 4 particles. At first, Fe 3 O 4 were prepared by chemical-precipitation method. Then, the Sol-Gel method was used to modify the surface of the particles. Core-shell structural Fe 3 O 4 @ S iO 2 composite magnetic particles were prepared by hydrolysis and condensation of tetraethyl orthosilicate using Fe 3 O 4 nanomagnetic particles as seeds. XRD,VSM were applied to characterize the composite magnetic particles. The effects of rotational speed and the quantity of TEOS on the performance of Fe 3 O 4 @ S iO 2 composite magnetic particles were investigated.

Abstract:Fe3O4 nanoparticles were successfully prepared via chemical co-precipitation method. The effect of pH value, Fe3+/Fe2+ mole ratio and cation concentration on the phase structure, size and magnetic properties of the synthesized Fe3O4 nanoparticles was systematically studied. It was shown that uniform Fe3O4 nanoparticles with average diameter of c.a. 12 nm could be synthesized with controlled experimental parameters. The influence of pH value and surface surfactant coating on the dispersibility and stability of water-based Fe3O4 magnetic fluid was also studied. Water-based magnetic fluid of Fe3O4 nanoparticles coated with sodium oleate by chemical bonding can be successfully prepared with high stability.

Abstract:Using Fe2(SO4)3·6H2O, FeSO4·4H2O and NH3·H2O as raw materials, Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles were prepared by the chemical co-precipitation method. The effects of reaction temperature on the structure, morphology and magnetic property of obtained nanoparticles were studied through performing XRD, FTIR, TEM and VSM analyses. The results show that the surfaces of prepared Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles are coated with a layer of organic matter; they are sphere and uniform and possess good dispersity, maximum saturation magnetization of 53.38 A·m2·kg–1. When reaction temperature is 70 ℃, the magnetic property of prepared Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles is optimal.

Abstract:In this work, a new and simple synthesis route for preparing nanosized iron phosphate with high purity under mild conditions was proposed by coupling fast precipitation and hydrothermal treatment. The fast precipitation between Fe(NO3)3 (with phosphoric acid addition to suppress Fe3+ hydrolysis) and (NH4)3PO4 was carried out in membrane dispersion microcontactor to obtain precursors having narrow size distribution around 50nm and containing of FePO4 and Fe2(HPO4)3 exclusively. In situ hydrothermal treatment for 1h in sequence converted Fe2(HPO4)3 to FePO4 and initiated the growth of the original FePO4 particle in precursor. Characterizations of the final product by TEM, XRD, TG/DTA and ICP-OES confirmed it was nanoparticles with iron phosphate hydrate with high purity, well dispersion and narrow size distribution around 59nm. This coupling process is expectable to be controllable, facile and easy to scale up for nanosized FePO4 production with respect to catalysts, cathode and anode materials.
