Abstract:The problem of robust stability in linear quadratic (LQ) regulator systems with parametric uncertainties is considered. Stability bounds on uncertain parameters are derived and expressed in terms of linear inequalities for LQ regulator systems. A robustification procedure of LQ regulators for systems is presented.

Abstract:The problem of robust stabilizing a class of time-varying time-delay uncertain nonlinear systems is studied in this paper. The systems under consideration are nonlinear systems consisting of feedback linearizable nominal parts and norm-bounded nonlinear uncertain perturbations in states, time-varying time-delay states and control inputs. A sufficient condition for the robust stabilization of such systems is derived, then the sufficient condition is transformed into a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) problem. A robust controller, combining feedback linearization technique and quadratic stabilization via linear feedback, is developed such that the obtained closed-loop system is globally stable.

Abstract:The problem of quadratic stabilization and robust H/sup /spl infin// controller design for a class of linear time-varying uncertain dynamic systems with delayed state and control are studied via a Riccati equation approach. A static state feedback controller which stabilizes the plant and reduces the effect of the disturbance input on the controlled output to a prescribed level for all admissible time-varying uncertainties is presented and a sufficient condition for the existence of a robust H/sup /spl infin// controller is derived. Then the sufficient condition is transformed into a linear matrix inequality (LMI) problem and the control law can be obtained by solving LMIs.

Abstract:The robust stabilization problem for a class of uncertain linear time-delay systems containing sector saturating actuator is considered in this paper. The uncertain time-delay systems under consideration are described by state differential equations with time-varying unknown-but-bounded uncertain parameters and delayed state. The delay is assumed to be constant bounded but unknown. The new criterion of delay-dependent robust stabilizability for uncertain time-delay systems is presented and the corresponding robust memoryless state feedback controller is derived in terms of the solutions of several linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Numerical example is presented to illustrate the obtained results.

Abstract:We focus on the problem of robust stability for the linear uncertain multi-time-delay system. Both the systems subjected to unstructured parametric uncertainties and structured parametric are concerned. Based on the fact that if the characteristic roots of a system lie in the left half complex plane then the system is asymptotically stable, several delay-independent asymptotically stable sufficient conditions for linear uncertain multi-time-delay systems are derived. These conditions only rely on the structure of the system; this can lead to reduction in conservatism. Some numerical example examples are given to show the superiority of our results to those in the literature.

Abstract:In this note, based on a sufficient condition for stabilization, a new way to stabilize linear discrete-time systems with uncertain parameters is developed. By quadratic programming, the optimal controller of fixed order we have got can stabi-lize the system with maximum infinite norm of the uncertain system parameter vector. The conclusion is confirmed by simulation.

Abstract:In this paper, the robust stability of a linear system with constant output feedback in the presence of structured uncertainty is analyzed with characterizing a region in the parameter space. A new necessary and sufficient condition of robust stability for the closed loop system with a single parameter uncertainty is given. And the algebraic expressions on a stability region of the closed loop system with multiparameter uncertainty, which is interesting in practical engineering have been derived and a sufficient condition which the closed loop system is robust stable is given also. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the results.

Abstract:The problem of robust stability for LQ guaranteed cost control ofstructured and unstructured uncertain linear systems is considered. First of all, some definitions about the problem are proposed. Then, robustness bounds for LQ guaranteed cost control systems with unstructured and a kind of structured uncertainties are derived. Furthermore, for structured uncertain systems, an algorithm to optimize the robustness bounds by choosing appropriate parameters as well as the relevant design technique are presented in the paper. Additional, a robustness analysis procedure of LQ guaranteed cost control systems for structured uncertainties is established. An example is given to illustrate the proposed methods.

Abstract:The primary disadvantage of current design techniques of robust control is their inability to deal effectively with pre-specified time-domain performances of systems. We consider robust control for uncertain linear systems with pre-specified time-domain performances, i.e. for such systems with constraints on outputs of systems. Using the practical stability theory, we obtain a design procedure of robust control for uncertain linear systems with constraints on outputs of systems. The sufficient conditions of robust stability for uncertain linear systems with constraints on outputs of systems subject to a bounded exterior disturbance are described by a series of parametric conditions and linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Abstract:This paper investigates the quadratic robust stability problem for a class of switched linear systems with uncertainties.We show that the strict completeness of certain family of matrices guarantees quadratic robust stability.A switching law is also designed according to the strict completeness.When all matrices of this family are negative definite,quadratic robust stability under arbitrary switching laws is obtained.Under appropriate assumptions,the conditions are expressed in the LMIs form.A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the results.

Abstract:For a class of uncertain nonlinear systems with time-delays in both state and control input, when in the linear part of the plant, the uncertainties are unknown but norm-bounded, and the uncertainties in the nonlinear part satisfy the so-called matching condition, this paper deals with the robust stabilization problem. The sufficient conditions for the systems under consideration to be stabilizable via state feedback or output feedback are given in terms of Riccati inequality, in the sense of global exponential stability. And we show that the controller can be designed by a simple procedure so long as obtaining the solutions of the corresponding inequalities.

Abstract:This note deals with the robust output regulation problem for a class of nonlinear systems with dynamic uncertainties. The design procedure is mainly divided into two parts. Firstly, the internal model part is proposed to extend system equations and convert the robust output regulation to robust stabilization problem. Then, the combined backstepping and small-gain approach is introduced to tackle with the corresponding unknown nonlinearities and dynamic uncertainties. It has been demonstrated that the proposed controller regulates the error signal to zero while maintaining overall signals uniform boundness.
