Abstract:The problem of robust stability analysis for uncertain discrete singular time-delay systems is investigated in this paper. By decomposing the nominal system into slow and fast subsystems, a linear matrix inequality (LMI) condition is proposed for a discrete singular time-delay system to be regular, causal and stable. Based on this, an LMI criterion is obtained for robust stability of an uncertain discrete singular time-delay system. Two numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach.

Abstract:The problem of robust stabilizing a class of time-varying time-delay uncertain nonlinear systems is studied in this paper. The systems under consideration are nonlinear systems consisting of feedback linearizable nominal parts and norm-bounded nonlinear uncertain perturbations in states, time-varying time-delay states and control inputs. A sufficient condition for the robust stabilization of such systems is derived, then the sufficient condition is transformed into a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) problem. A robust controller, combining feedback linearization technique and quadratic stabilization via linear feedback, is developed such that the obtained closed-loop system is globally stable.

Abstract:The problem of the delay-dependant robust stability and stabilization is dealt with for a class of Lur'e singular system with state time-delays in this paper. The new concept of generalized robust quadratic stability and generalized robust quadratic stabilization is presented. Furthermore. the sufficient condition of the robust stability and stabilization is also proposed based on linear matrix inequalities. The synthesis problem addressed is to design a memory-less state feedback control law such that the resulting closed-loop system is regular, impulse free and asymptotically stable for all admissible uncertainties.

Abstract:The problem of robust control for discrete time-delay systems with norm-bounded uncertainties was studied. A new sufficient condition of delay-dependent robust stabilizability was derived by introducing a zero formula and free weighting matrices. An explicit expression of the desired controller was also developed based on the solution of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Without any system transformation or inequalities to estimate the upper bound of the cross terms in the forward difference of Lyapunov functional, the corresponding conservatism on the stability condition is reduced. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of design procedure.

The considered systems are subject to norm‐bounded parameter uncertainties and constant time delay. A linear matrix inequality (LMI) condition is proposed for a discrete singular time‐delay system to be regular, causal and stable. With this condition, the problems of robust stability and stabilization are solved. The obtained results are formulated in terms of strict LMIs. A new approach is introduced to take the relationship between the fast and slow subsystems of a discrete singular time-delay system, based on which, a strict linear matrix inequality (LMI) criterion is obtained for a discrete singular time-delay system to be regular, causal and stable. Abstract:We studied the delay-dependent stabilization problem for a class of uncertain singular system with time-delays and saturating controls. Theorems derived give sufficient conditions for delay-dependent stabilization of the singular systems with a combination of saturating controls and multiple time-delays in both state and control; we assumed the delays to be constant bounded but unknown, moreover, the uncertainties are also described to be unknown but bounded and the nonlinear terms included in the systems are fallen into a set. Under these sufficient conditions, the solution of the uncertain singular system is regular, impulse free, and locally asymptotically stable for all admissible uncertainties. Furthermore, the results based on several Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) are developed to guarantee stability and be computed effectively. Finally, we advance an example to demonstrate the superiority of this method.

Abstract:The problem of robust stability analysis for convex polytopic uncertain discrete-time systems with multiple-state delays is investigated.Based on the parameter-dependent Lyapunov stability and linear matrix inequality,the sufficient condition for robust stability is derived to enable the systems with delays to be robustly stable.With this condition,robust stability verification for the systems can be accomplished by testing the feasibility of a set of linear matrix inequalities.Due to the idea of parameter-dependent Lyapunov stability,the obtained robust stability condition has less conservativeness than the one based on quadratic stability.Numerical examples validate the results.

Abstract:The problem of robust stability for LQ guaranteed cost control ofstructured and unstructured uncertain linear systems is considered. First of all, some definitions about the problem are proposed. Then, robustness bounds for LQ guaranteed cost control systems with unstructured and a kind of structured uncertainties are derived. Furthermore, for structured uncertain systems, an algorithm to optimize the robustness bounds by choosing appropriate parameters as well as the relevant design technique are presented in the paper. Additional, a robustness analysis procedure of LQ guaranteed cost control systems for structured uncertainties is established. An example is given to illustrate the proposed methods.

The perturbation upper bounds on uncertain noise covariances that guarantee control performance are obtained, and the design method of minimax robust LQG regulator is also given in the perturbation upper bounds. In particular, it is shown that this regulator can minimize the worst performance in uncertain-case and guarantee control performance index to he within a given freedom.

Abstract:This paper deals with the problem of robust stabilization for linear discrete-time systems under non-linear perturbations. Without limitation to single-input systems and restriction on the structures of both the positive definite matrix and the corresponding variable, a new sufficient condition is presented which guarantees the stability of the closed-loop system and at the same time maximizes the bound on the non-linearity. In addition, our main result is extended to discrete time-delay systems. All the conditions are given within the framework of linear matrix inequalities. The effectiveness of the methods is illustrated with three examples.

Abstract:In order to research the robustD stability and stabilization that addressed for the systems with quadratic uncertain parameters,given that the stability domain is a disk in the left-half complex plane,and by LMI method,a sufficient condition for such systems is proved to be equivalent to the feasibility of a certain linear matrix inequality(LMI).By the feasible solution of the LMI,the state-feedback controllers for the robust stabilization of the systems are obtained.Examples show the eflectiveness of the method.

Abstract:This paper investigates the quadratic robust stability problem for a class of switched linear systems with uncertainties.We show that the strict completeness of certain family of matrices guarantees quadratic robust stability.A switching law is also designed according to the strict completeness.When all matrices of this family are negative definite,quadratic robust stability under arbitrary switching laws is obtained.Under appropriate assumptions,the conditions are expressed in the LMIs form.A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the results.
