Abstract:This paper presents a condition in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) for the quadratic stability of discrete-time interval 2-D systems. With Matlab, it is very convenient to solve this problem. Necessity shows that the condition is less conservative in some cases. The illustrative example shows that this method is effective to check the quadratic stability of discrete-time interval 2-D systems.

Abstract:This paper presents a necessary and sufficient condition for the quadratic stability of dynamic interval systems. The result is obtained in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) and extended to cover robust stability of linear systems with uncertain parameters. With the powerful LMI toolbox, it is very convenient to solve this problem. Abstract:The robust D stability analysis problem for a class of singular systems is considered in this paper. With the introduction of some free matrices, a new necessary and sufficient condition for a singular system to be D stable is proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). This result is extended to the singular systems with polytopic uncertainties and a sufficient condition is obtained for the uncertain singular systems to be robust D stable using the parameter-dependent Lyapunov function method. Numerical example shows the effectiveness of the obtained approach. © 2011 ISSN 1881-803X.

Abstract:The problems of D-stability and D-stabilization for linear discrete singular systems with state delay are addressed in this paper. By using the state augmentation technique, a necessary and sufficient D-stability condition and a sufficient D-stabilization condition for linear discrete singular time-delay systems are firstly proposed. Then, based on these conditions, quadratic D-stability and D-stabilization conditions for linear discrete singular time-delay systems with norm-bounded uncertainties and interval uncertainties are obtained, respectively. Both the D-stability and D-stabilization conditions are proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, illustrative examples show that the proposed conditions are effective to check the D-stability and to design the D-stabilizing controller for linear discrete singular time-delay systems.

By decomposing the nominal system into slow and fast subsystems, a linear matrix inequality (LMI) condition is proposed for a discrete singular time-delay system to be regular, causal and stable. Based on this, an LMI criterion is obtained for robust stability of an uncertain discrete singular time-delay system. Two numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach.

Abstract:The synthesis problem of reliable robust control for a class of dynamic systems is considered.A practical and general faults model with sensor,actuator is addressed.A necessary and sufficient condition of D-stability is presented,based on which a sufficient condition of existence of the reliable H_∞controller is given for the case of sensor,actuator failures.The reliable H_∞controller is designed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs),which guarantees the closed-loop to be D-stable and possesses H_∞performance when all control components are operational as well as some control components experience failures.Finally,a numerical example is given to illustrate the design procedures and the effectiveness.

Abstract:Sufficient conditions for the quadratic -stability and further robust -stability of interval systems are presented in this paper. This robust -stability condition is based on a parameter-dependent Lyapunov function obtained from the feasibility of a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) defined at a series of partial-vertex-based interval matrices other than the total vertex matrices as in previous results. The results contain the usual quadratic and robust stability of continuous-time and discrete-time interval systems as particular cases. The illustrative example shows that this method is effective and less conservative for checking the quadratic and robust -stability of interval systems.

The results were obtained in terms of LMIs. With the powerful LMI toolbox, it was very convenient to solve this problem. Abstract:The problem of robust quadratic stabilization for a class of uncertain linear dynamic systems with time-delays in both state and control is discussed in this paper. The uncertain time-delay systems under consideration are described by state differential equations with unknown-but-bounded uncertain parameters that are confined into convex polyhedrons. A new necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of quadratically stabilizing control law and the corresponding synthesis method are derived, the results are given in terms of a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.

Abstract:In this paper, the new absolute stability and stabilization conditions for a class of Lurie uncertain time-delay systems are proposed. Based on Lyapunov functions combined with linear matrix inequality (LMI) technology, the sufficient delay dependent absolute stability and stabilization conditions are derived for a class of Lurie uncertain time-delay systems with time-delay feedback either in states or nonlinear part through introducing a new state transformation. Finally, the absolute stability and stabilization conditions are illustrated by the detailed examples, and the result shows that there has been a distinct amelioration in conservation.

Abstract:The problem of robust stabilizing a class of time-varying time-delay uncertain nonlinear systems is studied in this paper. The systems under consideration are nonlinear systems consisting of feedback linearizable nominal parts and norm-bounded nonlinear uncertain perturbations in states, time-varying time-delay states and control inputs. A sufficient condition for the robust stabilization of such systems is derived, then the sufficient condition is transformed into a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) problem. A robust controller, combining feedback linearization technique and quadratic stabilization via linear feedback, is developed such that the obtained closed-loop system is globally stable.

Abstract:This paper deals with the problem of delay-dependent robust stability of a class of uncertain discrete singular time-delay systems. The considered systems are subject to norm-bounded parameter uncertainties and constant time delay. A new approach is introduced to take the relationship between the fast and slow subsystems of a discrete singular time-delay system, based on which, a strict linear matrix inequality (LMI) criterion is obtained for a discrete singular time-delay system to be regular, causal and stable. The result on robust stability of uncertain discrete singular time-delay systems is also obtained and expressed in terms of LMIs. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed method

The synthesis problem addressed here is to design an output feedback control law such that the resulting closed-loop system is /spl alpha/-stable and possesses H/sub /spl infin// performance for all admissible uncertainties, and a sufficient condition for the existence of such a control law is presented in terms of several linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, an illustrative example is advanced to demonstrate the superiority of this method.

Abstract:The problem of robust stabilization for uncertain discrete singular time‐delay systems is investigated. The considered systems are subject to norm‐bounded parameter uncertainties and constant time delay. A linear matrix inequality (LMI) condition is proposed for a discrete singular time‐delay system to be regular, causal and stable. With this condition, the problems of robust stability and stabilization are solved. The obtained results are formulated in terms of strict LMIs. An explicit expression of the desired state‐feedback control law is also given, which involves no matrix decomposition. The proposed synthesis method is illustrated by a numerical example. Abstract:With the linear matrix inequalities (LMI) method, this paper investigates the stability of a class of hybrid systems with uncertain nonlinear subsystems. Based on single Lyapunov function, the sufficient conditions of this system for global asymptotic stability are proposed. Furthermore, using the method of piecewise quadratic Lyapunov function, the sufficient conditions of this system for local asymptotic stability are derived. By applying the result, the sufficient conditions of stability can be formulated as a convex problem in terms of linear matrix inequalities, which can be solved by relevant software.

Abstract:The problem of robust stability analysis for convex polytopic uncertain discrete-time systems with multiple-state delays is investigated.Based on the parameter-dependent Lyapunov stability and linear matrix inequality,the sufficient condition for robust stability is derived to enable the systems with delays to be robustly stable.With this condition,robust stability verification for the systems can be accomplished by testing the feasibility of a set of linear matrix inequalities.Due to the idea of parameter-dependent Lyapunov stability,the obtained robust stability condition has less conservativeness than the one based on quadratic stability.Numerical examples validate the results.
