Abstract:In this article, we study the existence of the $(n-1)$-radial symmetric positive classical solution for elliptic equations with gradient. By some special techniques in two variables, we show a priori estimates, and then show the existence of a solution using a fixed point theorem.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the following nonlinear elliptic equation with gradient term: \[ \left\{ \begin{gathered} - \Delta u - \frac{1}{2}(x \cdot \nabla u) + (\lambda a(x)+b(x))u = \beta u^q +u^{2^*-1}, \hfill 0<u \in {H_K^{1}(\mathbb{R}^N)}, \hfill \\ \end{gathered} \right . \] where $\lambda, \beta \in (0,\infty), q \in (1,2^*-1), 2^* = 2N/(N-2), N\geq3, a(x), b(x): \mathbb{R}^N \to \mathbb{R}$ are continuous functions, and $a(x)$ is nonnegative on $\mathbb{R}^N$. When $\lambda$ is large enough, we prove the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions to the equation.

Abstract:In this paper we consider the gradient estimates on positive solutions to the following elliptic equation defined on a complete Riemannian manifold $(M,\,g)$: $$\Delta v+v^r-v^s= 0,$$ where $r$ and $s$ are two real constants. When$(M,\,g)$ satisfies $Ric \geq -(n-1)\kappa$ (where $n\geq2$ is the dimension of $M$ and $\kappa$ is a nonnegative constant), we employ the Nash-Moser iteration technique to derive a Cheng-Yau's type gradient estimate for positive solution to the above equation under some suitable geometric and analysis conditions. Moreover, it is shown that when the Ricci curvature of $M$ is nonnegative, this elliptic equation does not admit any positive solution except for $u\equiv 1$ if $r<s$ and $$1<r<\frac{n+3}{n-1}\quad\quad ~~\mbox{or}~~\quad 1<s<\frac{n+3}{n-1}.$$

Abstract:This paper is concerned with two properties of positive weak solutions of quasilinear elliptic equations with nonlinear gradient terms. First, we show a Liouville-type theorem for positive weak solutions of the equation involving the m -Laplacian operator- increment (m)u = u(q)| backward difference u|(p) in RN,where N 1, m > 1 and p, q ? 0. The technique of Bernstein gradient estimates is utilized to study the case p < m. Moreover, a Liouville-type theorem for supersolutions under subcritical range of exponentsq(N - m) + p(N -1) < N(m -1)is also established. Then, we use a degree argument to obtain the existence of positive weak solutions for a nonlinear Dirichlet problem of the type - increment (m)u = f (x, u, backward difference u), with f satisfying certain structure conditions. Our proof is based on a priori estimates, which will be accomplished by using a blow-up argument together with the Liouville-type theorem in the half-space. As another application, some new Harnack inequalities are proved.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the existence of positive solutions for singular elliptic equations with mixed Dirichlet-Neumann boundary conditions involving Sobolev-Hardy critical exponents and Hardy terms by using the concentration compactness principle, the strong maximum principle and the Mountain Pass lemma. We also prove, under complementary conditions, that there is no nontrivial solution if the domain is star-shaped with respect to the origin.

Abstract:We study, according to topological approaches, the solvability of systems for biharmonic equations with Navier boundary conditions. New sublinear conditions for the existence of positive solutions are established. In addition, the most interesting part of this article is that the Leggett–Williams fixed point theorem is first used to analyze the existence of triple positive radial solutions for biharmonic elliptic systems. Abstract:We study a very general model of nonvariational elliptic equations of p -Laplacian type. Abstract:The aim of this paper is to study the qualitative behavior of large solutions to the following problem{Δu±a(x)|∇u|q=b(x)f(u),x∈Ω,u(x)=∞,x∈∂Ω. Here a(x)∈Cα(Ω) is a positive function with α∈(0,1), b(x)∈Cα(Ω) is a non-negative function and may be singular near the boundary or vanish on the boundary, and the nonlinear term f is a Γ-varying function, whose variation at infinity is not regular. We focus our investigation on the existence and asymptotic behavior close to the boundary ∂Ω of large solutions by Karamata regular variation theory and the method of upper and lower solution. The main results of this paper emphasize the central role played by the gradient term |∇u|q and the weight functions a(x) and b(x).

It is shown that they converge, uniformly away from the origin, as well as in H-0(1), to the unique singular solution, so, the open problem (a) in [1] is answered negatively. And, by a method in [4], an infinite number of positive solutions has been obtained.
