Abstract:The management for qualification documents of medical instruments is very important work to management department of medical instruments. Because the number of qualification documents of medical instruments is very large and they have an expiry date, it is difficult to manage them. This article discussed how to manage qualification documents of medical instruments, and an information management system that has a function of traceability management has been developed. This information management system standardizes management for qualification documents of medical instruments, and ensures that qualification documents of medical instruments are available and can be traced. Besides, it can reduce the amount of work for medical instruments management.

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the current situation of allocation and utilization of major medical equipment in China and make policy recommendations.Methods:Literature review and field survey methods were used to achieve the purpose.Results:The utilization of major medical equipment in the inpatients was higher than that in the outpatients.The service amount of CT was the biggest and service amount of major medical equipment decreased from east to west.Utilization efficiency varied among sample provinces(city),and positive detection rate was generally high.Excessive use and under use coexisted.Macro distribution and utilization management need to be improved.Conclusion:The macro-governance policy on major medical equipment should be optimized during the new health system reform.Some mechanisms for major medical equipment should be developed and improved,including distribution,investment,monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract:Objective: To provide recommendations for allocation programming and management of Class B major medical equipment in China by analyzing the current situation of the allocation and utilization of CT and MRI in Shanghai,Shaanxi,Zhejiang and Hunan province.Methods: Sampling method was used to investigate the data of allocation and utilization of CT and MRI in four provinces.Epidata software was used for data entry and SPSS for statistical analysis.Results: Data of allocation and utilization of CT and MRI in four provinces showed different characteristics.The amount of major medical equipments in Shanghai was larger than that in the other three provinces and the amount was at the lowest level in Shaanxi.The quality of CT and MRI in eastern region of China was better than that in the western region.The yearly health service number kept increasing,within which a higher proportion was due to inpatients.However,the efficiency of CT and MRI utilization was generally low,and the data varied greatly among hospitals with different levels in different regions.Conclusion: There are still some problems on allocation and utilization of major medical equipments,such as CT and MRI,and macro-control should be strengthened in order to solve these problems.

Abstract:Objective: To identify and analyze the problems of major medical equipment(class B) allocation and management in China.Methods: National and provincial major medical equipment(class B) regulations were reviewed and compared.Sixteen secondary and tertiary hospitals from three provinces and one municipality were selected and typical investigations and experts meetings were delivered to get in-depth understanding of management status of major medical equipment(class B) allocation and management.Results: Problems of major medical equipment(class B) allocation and management in China included: irrational allocation plan and shortage of allocation in primary-level hospital;low independent research and development level and vacancy of operation personnel management;unclear division of investigation and supervision and insufficient administrative efficiency.Conclusion: Government departments at all levels have issued equipment management policies,which have achieved favorable effect.Continuous efforts of major medical equipment allocation and management should be made.

Abstract:Objective:To improve hospital infection control and management of central sterile supply.Methods:The hospital sterilization and supply center establishes the standard workflow from equipment recovery,equipment cleaning,cleaning cleanliness inspection,device packaging,instrument sterilization to dissemination to strengthen quality monitoring,focusing on staff training,communication and coordination and sector departments.Results:Hospital infection control management level and effectiveness were improved significantly to achieve the integration of resources through saving the capital and operating costs of the relevant sections of the cleaning and disinfection of facilities to avoid re-contamination of surgical instruments on the staff and surroundings.Conclusion:The measures taken are feasible and productive.

Abstract:This paper analyses the equipment and utilization of instruments owned by49township hospitals located in East China after1990s.The coverage of the instrument increased after1990s.Diagnostic instruments make up72.3percent.As fund sources from government decreased,more and more township hospitals purchased instrument by raising funds from themselves.Nowadays,some kinds of instruments face being washed out,and some kinds are utilized inadequately.Therefore the amount and coverage of in-struments grow obviously and the trend of purchasing expensive instruments also exists.The paper suggests that the research on appropriate scales should be strengthened.

Abstract:Objective To understand the current situation of hospital infection management in some hospitals in China and explore its development tendency. Methods Surveys were made by means of questionnaires on hospital infection management in 16 hospitals of various tiers in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou and the results were compared with those of the two nation-wide surveys conducted respectively in 1994 and 1999. At the same time a dynamic assessment was made of hand hygiene implementation. Results The infection management systems in large and medium-sized hospitals in China were becoming increasingly perfect and a fairly high level was reached in function construction, team structure and expertise of hospital infection management departments. However, there were still many problems. 60% of medical staff washed their hands after patient-contact while only 35% did so before patient-contact and after item contact. Conclusion Hospital infection management in China has reached an important stage of accelerated development with substantial accumulation and more solid foundation. However, as far as development tendency is concerned, we should introduce technical indexes for quality control, put more emphasis on process-evaluation rather than result-evaluation in quality control management, stress the guiding role of evidence-based medicine in hospital management and promote a benign interaction between the hospital infection management and medical treatment process.

Abstract:Objective:To explore the personnel structure of the central sterile supply department at present, so as to perfect the staffing and organizational structure, conduct professional training, and promote the further optimization of human resources. Methods: The data were collected in 164 hospitals based on the published reports, which came from the participants of national training bases of Chinese Nursing Association and 40 hospitals of Sichuan province. The current situation and problems of human structure were analyzed and discussed. Results: The national central sterile supply department's average allocation proportion was 1.77: 100, which is under of the requirement of Ministry of Health. The average age of staff decreased, while the education level of management personnel increased. Conclusion: When establishing professional centralized management model of sterile supply in hospital, the problem of insufficient staff needs to be adjusted and paid attention. In order to meet the needs of the development of profession, it is suggested to improve professional training.

Abstract:We compared instrument status, work efficiency, instrument repair, nursing staff satisfaction between the two groups with general management mode and joint commission international (JCI) standard combined with 6S management mode. After the application of JCI standard combined with 6S management mode, the proportion of instances meeting standards for placement, cleaning, maintenance, and record‐keeping was higher than before the application (p 0.05). Objective The medical instruments used in the emergency department have a wide coverage and prominent importance. The study was aimed to observe the effect of joint commission international (JCI) standard combined with 6S management mode in emergency medical equipment. Methods Medical equipment and nursing staff in the emergency department of our hospital were the subjects of the research. We compared the management status (standard placement, good cleaning, good maintenance, complete records) of medical equipment after the application of JCI standard combined with 6S management mode was compared with that before the application. Working time associated with medical equipment, equipment repair ratio, nurses' satisfaction with medical equipment use and management were also compared. Results After the application of JCI standard combined with 6S management mode, the proportion of instances meeting standards for placement, cleaning, maintenance, and record‐keeping was higher than before the application (p 0.05). Conclusion JCI standard combined with 6S management mode can standardize the use of emergency medical instruments, reduce the risk of instrument damage, increase work efficiency, improve nurses' satisfaction with medical instrument management, and are therefore worthy of clinical application.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To investigate the current status of the cleaning,disinfection,and management of the central sterile supply department(CSSD) in the hospitals of Shanghai.METHODS The questionnaires designed by Shanghai Nosocomial Infection Control Center were completed by infectious control personnel after supervision in CSSD.The data were submitted in time and were verified at supervision by the Nosocomial Infection Control Center in the end of the year.RESULTS Totally 63 hospitals′s CSSD were enrolled,among which there were only 29(46.0%) hospitals that achieved the centralized supply,17(30.3%) hospitals whose cleaning of the equipment was taken charged by the companies,5(7.9%) hospitals that packed the equipments with but did not record,and 25(7.9%) hospitals with six items of traced back information labeled on the package or bandage.CONCLUSION The current status of the management of CSSD in Shanghai has basically complied with tree mandatory standards in the Management standard of central sterile supply department in hospital issued by the Ministry of Health,while several details in the managements need to be improved.

Abstract:Objective:In the current situation of large medical equipment configuration, we explore the existing problems in hospital equipment management, analyze the causes of those problems, and propose scientific management methods.Methods: To investigate, evaluate and analyze possibility before the acquisition of large medical equipment, to implement scientific performance evaluation after the acquisition of large medical equipment.Results: Adjust purchase plan and optimize large medical equipment configuration based on the evaluation report.Conclusion: Adopt a new method of large medical equipment performance evaluation to achieve large medical equipment configuration standardization and rationalization, and preferably provides reference to the future management of large medical equipment and acquisition decision.
