Comparative Analysis on the Study of Digital Library between China and Abroad Based on Literature Clustering

Abstract:Choosing Chinese and foreign representative databases as the information sources, which are the full-text database of Chinese journals on the web of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Web of Science on ISI Web of Knowledge and the famous engineering database Science Abstract (INSPEC), the paper does statistical, clustering, comparative analyses of digital library researches in the latest 30 years both domestically and abroad on five factors, which are time distribution, theme, author, periodical distribution and cited references of English literature, and conducts comparative research. Based on the comparative analyses of domestic and foreign literature, the paper explains the differences on capital, technology and human resources between China and abroad, trying to point out the problems concerning domestic researches and put forward some measures to solve them, in order to provide statistical and theoretical supports for promoting the sound development of domestic digital library.
