Abstract:To develop an embedded real-time operating system with own property rights, we combined memory management characteristic of uCLinux with real-time characteristic of RTAI. With elaborate design in main modules such as architecture, memory management, process management, exception and interrupt handling and timer, we eventually made a hard real-time embedded operating system——ZDRTOS.

Abstract:To enhance flexibility of embed system,USB floppy driver is developed under WinCE.NET,based on the structure of stream interface driver,the characteristics of load mechanism of stream interface driver,UFI technology is used to control USB floppy,USB floppy format method and detailed process are presented finally.The driver has been successfully applied in the regional water monitoring and measuring instrument based on ARM9,and it extended the functionality of the instrument,a good reference value is provided for similar device.

Abstract:Considering the Real-time Windows Target of Matlab only supports some well-known international vendors' equipment,while a large number of domestic equipment cannot be used,the driver of analog output channels was written based on C MEX S function taking Advantech's PCI1727U card as hardware platform.Different from xPC driver,Matlab did not provide related hardware operating functions and device driver programing tutorials on Real-time Windows Target,therefore the device driver programing under Real-time Windows Target mostly depended on exploration and testing.In the end,the written driver was tested taking PCI1713 as an aided card.The testing results indicate that the written driver of PCI1727U can output the given signal to the test system,which provides theoretical foundation and guiding principle for the further utilization of data acquisition system based on Real-time Windows Target.

Abstract:Taking advantages of the modular nature of Linux, a set of Linux modules were improved to make Linux run on various SoC. The module improvement was including: developing a target-specific bootloader, designing a memory management module for the MMU-less processor, real-time improvement in scheduling module and organizing a small footprint file system for the flash memory. These modules can be reassembled on demands, catering for different boards and applications. Moreover, methods for developing embedded Linux are concluded, including tool chains and debug techniques. Case studies on two hardware platforms, based on ARM720T and M68K respectively, shown that the work satisfies application requirements.

Abstract:In embedded system,especially with low system resources,good driver structural design can effectively reduce memory and CPU occupation,hence improve the system’s performance.V4L2 is a new framework for video device driver development under Linux,and a in-depth study on the running mechanism of V4L2 is given.By making full use of its properties,a V4L2 driver develop method is presented for video device based on reducing system resource consumption and promoting driver’s behavior,and its validity is proven by experiment.

Abstract:Based on some thorough analysis of OSEK/VDX specification,this paper presents how to design an 8 bit OSEK/VDX-based Real-time Operating System(RTOS)——FDOSEK from the task schedule,resource management and event mechanism,and then realizes its kernel on the MC9S08DZ60 chip of Freescale.It tests the task schedule time and storage requirements.Test results show that FDOSEK is suitable for automotive electronics industry with a strong real-time capability and low storage requirements.
