Abstract:The reactions of norfloxacin (H-Norf) with Mn(ClO4)(2) (.) 6H(2)O and Mn(OH)(2) yield Mn(H-Norf) (ClO4)(2) (.) 2H(2)O (1) and [Mn(Norf)(2) (.) 4H(2)O](n) (2), respectively. 1 is monomeric while 2 has a novel 2D neutral square grid with an antibacterial drug as building block.
