Application of PBL Teaching Method in Sex and Health General Education for College Students

Abstract:Objective To develop the interacting learning mode in PBL on and courses for college students and evaluate the effect of it.Methods The core curriculum for general education of sex and health had been opened to all the students in Shanghai Jiaotong University from Sep.2010 to Jan.2012.The courses imported PBL method.At the end of the semester,the feedback and the suggestion of the students should be collect and sort.Results All groups from the course involved PBL seriously.According to the feedback of the courses,all of the students accepted this kind of teaching method.Not only helps to improve the enthusiasm for learning,but also helps to improve the ability for self-learning,problem-finding,problem-solving,language-expressing and teamwork cooperating.Conclusion Interacting learning in PBL can obviously increase the Initiative of students.Meanwhile,the new courses not only improve the understanding of knowledge for students,but also improve many kinds of study abilities.
