Abstract:MicroRNA*s are about 22nt noncoding RNAs, which are processed from precursors with a characteristic hairpin secondary structure in the biogenesis of microRNAs. Recently, miRNA* strands were shown to mediate post-transcriptional regulatory networks, rather than serve merely as non-functional by-product in general view. Unlike miRNAs bound to AGO1, miRNA* strands are bound to AGO2 to form RISC duplex to mediate RNAi, which is similar to siRNA. This paper mainly reviewed the recent research progresses on miRNA*, such as the biosynthesis, biological characteristics, and functions.

Abstract:MicroRNAs(miRNAs) are small regulator,noncoding RNA molecules that are transcribed as primary microRNAs(pri-microRNAs) from eukaryotic genomes,prokaryotic genomes and virus,involved in post-transcriptional and translational control of gene expression,either via degradation or translational inhibition of target mRNAs.These microRNAs play central roles in a wide range of biological processes,including cell proliferation,differentiation and apoptosis.This review has outlined the characteristics,process of maturation,mechanism of action and their function.

Abstract:MicroRNA,a class of noncoding RNA of approximately 19-25 nucleotides,which can regulate gene expression by binding to the region of 3'UTR of the target mRNAs to degrade or suppress target genes,is a post-transcriptional regulation.At present,thousands of microRNAs have been identified successfully.It is demonstrated that microRNA play an important role in cellular proliferation and apoptosis,self-renewal,stem cell differentiation,as well as in the development of germ cell and embryo,the regulation of hormone secretion.

Abstract:MicroRNAs(miRNAs) are a group of endogenous non-coding single-stranded RNAs which extensively exist in eukaryotic cells and viruses. They are about 21–24 nucleotides long and highly conserved in phylogeny. For their important roles in the developmental timing control and disease occurrence, miRNAs have become one of the hotspots in biological research. Here we briefly review the research advances in knowledge of the plant miRNAs on their synthesis, structural characteristics, mechanism of action and especially the functions.

Abstract:MicroRNA(miRNA) is a kind of small non-protein-coding RNA about 22 nucleotides in length.MicroRNA can regulate organism growth and development by mediating the degradation of complementary mRNA or inhibiting translation.MicroRNA play important roles in homeostatic processes such as development,cel1 proliferation,cell apoptosis.It was certified that miRNA participate the processes of tumorigenesis and development and its expression profiles can be used as the indicator of tumor diagnosis and prognosis.Mutation,deletion or high expression of miRNA was found to correlate with various human cancer.miRNA is involved in tumor cell proliferation,differentiation and apoptosis processes as function as oncogenes or tumor supressors.In this review,we have summarized the research of miRNA in tumorigenesis,development,diagnosis and therapy.

Abstract:microRNAs(miRNAs)are a class of evolutionary conserved,single-stranded,non-coding RNA molecules consisting of 19～24 nucleotides,which can degrade mRNA of target gene after transcription or suppress gene translation.Recently,miR-155 is proved as a typically multifunctional miRNA that influences the differentiation of hematopoietic cells,and plays an important biological role in inflammatory and immune response.A large number of studies have shown that miR-155 over-expresses in a lot kinds of tumor cells,suggesting it might be involved in the occurrence and development of tumors.We propose that miR-155 is likely to be a novel tumor marker and a potential application of tumor gene therapy.

Abstract:microRNA (miRNA)is a kind of non-protein-coding small RNA that is different from mRNA. miRNAs interact with the 3’ untranslated region (3’UTR )of the target mRNA,resulting in either complete degradation or translational inhibition of the target mRNA.miRNAs play a vital role in tumorigenesis,growth, migration and invasion.The regulation of miRNA is closely related to its function in cancer.Competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA),circular RNA (circRNA)and RNA binding protein (RBP)as regulatory molecules are involved in the expression regulation of target genes.It may be one reason why the miRNA has complicated and diversified functions in diverse cancer tissues or cancer cells.The future direction of miRNA research is to study the latest technology to find the network control mechanism of miRNA in the specific cells.

Abstract:microRNAs are a new/class of small, evolutionarily conserved, non-protein-coding RNA molecules. Mature microRNAs exert their gene regulatory activity primarily by imperfectly base pairing to their target mRNAs, leading to mRNA degradation or translational inhibition. Recent studies have verified that microRNAs play a key role in diverse biological processes, including cell proliferation and differentiation as well as apoptosis. Further studies showed that microRNAs as oncogenes and tumor suppressors are involved in the tumor formation and development. Accordingly, microRNAs as a kind of small RNA molecules play an important role in tumorigenesis.
