Abstract:As a concept of space,"Tianxia"means the vastest space between the sky and the land.But as a political concept,it means a harmonious political order transcending region and race.So the idea of"World Peace"absolutely proves to be the top of the Confucian political ideal.The Doctrine of the Mean changes the key point of discussion on"Tianxia"from territory to psychological foundation,which turns The World institution into people's inner psychological needs and transforms the principle that"The path is not far from man"into principle that"to governs men according to their nature".As a spiritual realm and institutional objective,the idea of"Tianxia"remains critical of realistic institution in traditional society. What's more,in the modern system of international relations mainly to nation-states,it is necessary for The World institution to keep on playing its role in criticism and contribute ideaistic resources to the establishment of a more reasonable international order.
