Abstract:"Made by nature"as the artistic way of"Reaching the Acme of Perfection", explains why artificialities have been removed from the man-made works under the context of landscape culture since the Tang and Song Dynasties The paper focuses the discussion on three pairs of conceptions, which are"nature- fortuitousness","made as it is-made by integrating"and"works of humanity-works of nature". Stating from the conception"nature- fortuitousness", the paper elaborates on the forms of Chinese landscape in terms of how Chinese artists catch the inscrutable forms of"nature"by"fortuitousness". Then the paper analyses the way how these inscrutable forms are shaped. Lastly, the paper includes the exquisite workmanship into the conception"works of humanity-works of nature", and attempts to explore how the exquisite workmanship can integrate"the works of humanity"and"the works of nature"into a harmoniously unified state of perfection
