Abstract:Prof.Xu Feng has unique understanding in the treatment of insomnia and has accumula ted rich clinical experiences.Prof.Xu believes that insomnia is divided into two categories,the deficiency and the excess.The deficiency pattern may be transformed into the excess one,or the mixture of both happens.The treatment of insomnia should focus on regulating and consolidating the spleen and the stomach functions.The four diagnostic methods and differentiation should be considered accordingly in the cases of blood stagnation,heat accumulation and damp involved.The modified herbal formulas are used to removing stasis,clearing heat and reducing damp so as to eliminate the pathogens and strengthen the spleen and stomach.As a result,the qi and blood circulation is regulated and the function of spleen and stomach in transformation and transportation is benefited.Additionally,the advice on the proper diet and regulate food intake should be given to cultivate the function of spleen for strengthening the functions of zangfu organs,supplementing qi and blood and harmonizing yin and yang.Consequently,insomnia is prevented.

Abstract:This paper introduced professor DING Xue-ping's clinical experience in the treatment of obesity with hyperinsulinemia from the traditional Chinese medicine.Professor DING pointed out that obesity disease was related to spleen and kidney.The occurrence of obesity with hypednsulinemia was closely related to qi deficiency and blood stasis and phlegm stagnation.At the beginning of the disease,we should focus on removing the pathological factors.With the development of disease,we should obey the rules of reducing the excess and reinforcing the deficiency.Last but not least,it was very important to promote blood circulation for removing blood stasis and eliminate dampness and phlegm.Professor DING pay attention to the change of dampness,phlegm,turbidity,water and drink.Meanwhile he attached importance to the dial up triple burner and the lung regulating visceral activities.Professor DING emphasized that the treatment based on syndrome differentiation should be paid attention to cold,hot,weak and strong,and be combined with multiple therapies.

Abstract:ABSTRACT:The paper introduces professor He Xiaohui's experience in treating chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG).In his view, this disease is caused by deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality,and the basic pathogenesis of CAG is the deficiency of both qi and yin,the dampness and heat in the stomach,and the stasis of the collaterals of the stomach meridian.The site of CAG is stomach,and related closely with spleen,liver,gallbladder and kidney.Following the principle of the combination of disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation,he puts forward a three-stage partition method,which is”cure the disease according to the syndrome,treat the disease combined with syndrome,treat the disease without syndrome directly”,advocates the application of balanced method,and creates the medical treatment of the syndrome differentiation”regulating gastritis with eight prescriptions” and the disease differentiation”shuang pu powder”,which can effectively reverse the pathological changes of chronic atrophic gastritis,and prevent the incidence of gastric cancer.

Abstract:Professor PENG Wannian is good at using classical prescriptions in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic and miscellaneous problems under the six meridians syndrome differentiation system. The professor attached great importance to strengthening the spleen and kidney, suggesting that blood stasis changes throughout diabetes. If the diabetic "Sanxiao" symptoms are typical, professor PENG often uses Baihu Rensheng decoction. Abstract:Professor ZHANG Shan-chen's clinical experience and academic thoughts in the field of acupuncture are summarized. Professor ZHANG stresses on theoretical exploration and has written Zhenjiu Jiayijing Shuxue Chongji, published a series of articles on textual research and expounded the nomenclature of acupoints. He believes that clinical practice should be guided by theory and the comprehensive syndrome differentiation be emphasized. Hence, a holistic idea should be cultivated, in which, the human body is considered as an organic whole and should be adaptive to the nature. Based on the theory above, the diagnosis can be determined and the effective treatment be received. He suggests selecting few acupoints, identifying the deficiency from the excess so as to determine the reinforcing or replenishing method and exerting appropriate needling manipulation. Additionally, the response should be enhanced on the identification of deqi after needle insertion. Moreover, a great consideration is laid on the clinical trial and application of moxibustion, which is complemented with acupuncture technique each other and mutually conductive to the clinical effect.
