A Low-Cost Control System for Direct-Drive Industrial Sewing Machine

Abstract:In order to reduce the cost of the industrial sewing machine control system,an optimized design scheme with hardware and software is proposed.Mature,reliable and cheap components are selected in this system.The control system of the industrial sewing machine is a hysteretic,time-variant and nonlinear system,which is difficult to control accurately by traditional double-closed-loop PID control algorithm based on a precise model of controlled objects.The key to the point is that the system parameters cannot be adjusted timely when the controlled objects are varied.Aiming at solving this problem,a kind of complex Fuzzy-PID controller is designed.Experiments show that this control system has characteristics of fast start/hold,good rubustness and precise positioning.The new system has been applied in industrial sewing machines,which is quite satisfactory.
