On the Change of Research Paradigm in Social Development of Students

Abstract:Under the conditions of globalized economy and network society, tremendous changes have taken place in the social structure and way of living. The socialization process of students is confronted with unprecedented challenges. The field of education has been affected by the educational concepts of "four pillars" and "Learning to care" of life-long education system. It has brought forward the new requirements to social development of students. The issues of social development of students involve the relationship between individual and society, education and life world, the identity and role of student in the process of socialization, etc. The vision of the discipline is the premise, and the research paradigm and methodology are the key in the research of social development of students. From the perspective of Sociology of Education, to use the integrated research paradigm and methodology and to combine the empirical, descriptive, humanity approaches are the new direction of the paradigm development of social development of students.
