Abstract:The pretreatment of biomass materials is critical for improvement of the overall production process and product quality. In this work, a dilute zinc chloride (ZnCl2) solution was used to pretreat bamboo chips, followed by defiberization (mechanical pulping). Compared to the results from the traditional chemi-thermomechanical pulping process, the results from this study showed that the refining energy consumption of the modified process was lowered 27%, and the tensile and burst index of the resultant pulp increased 22% and 82%, respectively. The morphological changes on the fiber surface, functional groups, and crystallinity of resultant pulps due to the ZnCl2 treatment were also analyzed.

Abstract:The PP/bamboo fiber composites were prepared by mixing-injection molding process with bamboo fiber as reinforced material.The surface morphology,thermal properties and chemical structure of the composites were tested and characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA) and infrared spectrometer(FTIR).The results show that: the mechanical properties and thermal properties of composites are improved with bamboo fiber modified by alkali and coupling agent.The interfacial compatibility of composites improves and the interface bonding force increase with the adding of coupling agent.The mechanical properties of composites are better with coupling agent KH-550 2%.The break elongation is 14.5%,tensile strength is 30.48 MPa and the impact strength is 22.4 kJ/m2。

Abstract:In order to develop the Sheng-bast fiber/Bamboo fiber blended yarn,the characteristics and performance of Sheng-bast fiber and bamboo fiber are introduced.According to processing practice and processing testing,the influences of the material properties,the spinning process etc.on the yarn quality are analyzed.At the same time,the new technical measures are introduced,and the effective methods that increasing yarn quality are discussed.The results show that all quality standards have been achieved.

Abstract:According to the characteristics of far-infrared polyester,bamboo fiber and acrylic,together with the practical production,this paper discusses various measures that increasing the blended yarns' quality.The results show that the processing principles of the abbreviated system,multiple bale breaking,small beating,slow speed,and multiple blending are adopted in the picking process;the light quantum,middle gauge,middle speed,large transfer coefficient,and small tension draft are used in the carding process;the light quantum,slow speed,heavy pressure,straight draft,large gauge are used in the drawing process;the heavy pressure,slow speed,large gauge,middle twist,and small tension are presented in the roving process;and the middle speed,large twist factor,heavy pressure,large gauge,middle hardness rubber-covered roll,and small nip gauge are adopted in the spinning process,which can all increase the quality of blended yarns.

Abstract:This research study investigates the moisture management properties of woven fabrics produced from banana and bamboo fibers. The moisture management characteristics of three different fabric structures, namely plain, twill, and satin weaves, were examined using varying proportions of bamboo and banana fibers. Results revealed that an increase in the proportion of bamboo fibers led to enhanced maximum wetted radius, spreading speed, AOTI, and OMMC. Furthermore, fabric structure played a significant role in moisture management performance, with satin weave fabric demonstrating excellent moisture management behavior and twill weave fabric exhibiting the least favorable moisture management properties.

Abstract:The spinning process principle of composite yarn was introduced.According to the rebuilding cotton spinning machine and based on the practice in the spinning process,spinning technological process of composite yarn is defined.Some experiments on the primary processing parameters of the composite spinning yarn were carried out,and the influences of spinning factors on composite yarn quality were analyzed by the spinning processes.The problems of end-breakage and unevenness etc. of composite yarn in the spinning process were resolved by reasonable spinning process configuration.The effective technical measures and process parameters were discussed.The results could be as a reference data for improving the quality of composite yarn and developing the new products further.

Abstract:In this paper, the tested methods, the used standard and the composition etc. of Maifan stone fiber are introduced, a series of basic properties are tested, and the relationship between Maifan stone Fiber structure and properties has been dealt with, a series of basic data of physical and chemical characteristics of the fiber is given. It is pointed that Maifan stone fiber is one kind of new-type functional fiber, which has good moisture absorption behavior, good permeability, natural micro organism resistance, excellent dyeing properties, higher dye-fixing percentage, better biological activity etc. When developing new type products, we must lay stress on its excellent properties, and develop the new-type product that displays the good properties of Maifan stone fiber.

BASIC PROPERTIES OF NATURAL BAMBOO FIBER

Abstract:Basic properties of natural bamboo fiber and bamboo pulp fiber were tested.Through the analysis and comparison of the properties,the following results can be obtained: at normal temperature and dry state,breaking strength and initial modulus of natural bamboo fiber is higher than that of bamboo pulp fiber,but elongation at break is lower;breaking strength of natural bamboo fiber in knotted and looped modality sharply decline,less than 20% of dry strength,and strength in knotted modality is slightly higher than that in looped modality;friction coefficient between natural bamboo fiber and metal roller or rubber roller is higher than between fiber rollers;static friction and dynamic friction coefficient of natural bamboo fiber is lower than that of bamboo pulp fiber.

Abstract:To design and develop a novel digital double-faced jacquard fabric with different photographic patterns on face and back,the concept of weave structure of jacquard shuttle knitting was induced on the basis of single-faced jacquard fabric with photographic pattern designed by digital technology,and an auto-recognizing system of the fabric tissue by computer was also utilized.The design principle and the key points of the production technique were offered and applied to the practical production.This fabric was produced by means of computeraided synthesis of two single-faced jacquard fabrics with different photograph patterns.Practice has proved that a novel digital double-faced jacquard fabric with different photographic patterns on face and back has been successfully developed,which has intact pattern,rich colors and fine arrangement.
