Abstract:The authors obtain a holomorphic Lefschetz fixed point formula for certain non-compact “hyperbolic” Kähler manifolds (e.g. Kähler hyperbolic manifolds, bounded domains of holomorphy) by using the Bergman kernel. This result generalizes the early work of Donnelly and Fefferman.

As applications, we present a construction of globally convergent power series of integrable Beltrami differentials on Calabi-Yau manifolds and also a construction of global canonical family of holomorphic $(n,0)$-forms on the deformation spaces of Calabi-Yau manifolds. Similar constructions are also applied to the deformation spaces of compact Kahler manifolds.

Abstract:In this paper, we generalize the Bochner-Kodaira formulas to the case of Hermitian complex (possibly non-holomorphic) vector bundles over compact Hermitian (possibly non-Kähler) manifolds. As applications, we get the complex analyticity of harmonic maps between compact Hermitian manifolds.

Abstract:We treat two quite different problems related to changes of complex structures on Kähler manifolds by using global geometric method. First, by using operators from Hodge theory on compact Kähler manifold, we present a closed explicit extension formula for holomorphic canonical forms in different complex structures. As applications, we give a closed explicit formula for certain canonical sections of Hodge bundles on marked and polarized moduli spaces of projective manifolds, and provide a closed explicit extension formula for holomorphic pluricanonical forms under certain natural conditions. Second, by using the operators in L^2-Hodge theory on Poincaré disk, we present a simple and unified method to solve the Beltrami equations with measurable coefficients for quasi-conformal maps.

Abstract:The authors consider ±(Φ, J)-holomorphic maps from Sasakian manifolds into Kähler manifolds, which can be seen as counterparts of holomorphic maps in Kähler geometry. It is proved that those maps must be harmonic and basic. Then a Schwarz lemma for those maps is obtained. On the other hand, an invariant in its basic homotopic class is obtained. Moreover, the invariant is just held in the class of basic maps.

Abstract:The existence problem of Kähler-Einstein metrics of positive scalar curvature has not been settled yet completely. There are known obstructions, among which there is a character f of the complex Lie algebra h(M) of all holomorphic vector fields defined in [8]. In our works [11], [10], [13], [21], we studied how this Lie algebra character lifted to a character of the group of biholomorphic automomorphisms. It was shown using Chern-Simons theory that it is lifted to an additive group character with values in C/Z. The imaginary part was written as an integral formula, while the R/Z-valued real part was given as a fixed point formula for automorphisms. Abstract:We obtain an equivariant index theorem, or Lefschetz fixed-point formula, for isometries from complete Riemannian manifolds to themselves. The fixed-point set of such an isometry may be noncompact. We build on techniques developed by Roe. Key new ingredients are a localised functional on operators with bounded smooth kernels, and an algebra (reminiscent of Yu's localisation algebra) of `asymptotically local' operators, on which this functional has an asymptotic trace property. As consequences, we show that some earlier indices used are special cases of the one we introduce here, and obtain an obstruction to positive scalar curvature.

On the structure of compact Kähler manifolds with nonnegative holomorphic sectional curvature

Abstract:In this paper, we establish a "pseudo-effective" version of the holonomy principle for compact Kähler manifolds with nonnegative holomorphic sectional curvature. As applications, we prove that if a compact complex manifold $M$ admits a Kähler metric $\omega$ with nonnegative holomorphic sectional curvature and $(M,\omega)$ has no nonzero truly flat tangent vector at some point (which is satisfied when the holomorphic sectional curvature is quasi-positive), then $M$ must be projective and rationally connected. This answers a problem raised by Matsumura and Yang and extends Yau's conjecture. We also prove that a compact simply connected Kähler manifold with nonnegative holomorphic sectional curvature is projective and rationally connected. Additionally, we classify non-projective Kähler 3-dimensional manifolds with nonnegative holomorphic sectional curvature. Furthermore, we show that a compact Kähler manifold admits a Hermitian metric with positive real bisectional curvature is a projective and rationally connected manifold.

Abstract:We establish an integral formula on a smooth, precompact domain in a Kahler manifold. We apply this formula to study holomorphic extension of CR functions. Using this formula we prove an isoperimetric inequality in terms of a positive lower bound for the Hermitian curvature of the boundary. Combining with a Minkowski type formula on the complex hyperbolic space we prove that any closed, embedded hypersurface of constant mean curvature must be a geodesic sphere, provided the hypersurface is Hopf. A similar result is established on the complex projective space.

We also generalize a theorem of G. A. Abstract:We prove the existence of Kahler-Einstein metric on a K-stable Fano manifold using the recent compactness result on Kahler-Ricci flows. The key ingredient is an algebro-geometric description of the asymptotic behavior of Kahler-Ricci flow on Fano manifolds. This is in turn based on a general finite dimensional discussion, which is interesting in its own and could potentially apply to other problems. As one application, we relate the asymptotics of the Calabi flow on a polarized Kahler manifold to K-stability assuming bounds on geometry.

Abstract:We study K-theory classes of Hamiltonian loop group spaces represented by admissible Fredholm complexes. We prove various equivariant index formulae in this context. In a sequel to this article we show that, when specialized to a family of non-local elliptic boundary value problems over the moduli space of framed flat connections on a surface, one obtains a gauge theory analogue of the Teleman–Woodward index formula.

Abstract:Polterovich proved a remarkable closed formula for heat kernel coefficients of the Laplace operator on compact Riemannian manifolds involving powers of Laplacians acting on the distance function. In the case of Kähler manifolds, we prove a combinatorial formula for powers of the complex Laplacian and use it to derive an explicit graph theoretic formula for the numerics in heat coefficients as a linear combination of metric jets based on Polterovich's formula.

Abstract:In this work, we investigate compact Kähler manifolds with non-negative or quasi-positive mixed curvature coming from a linear combination of the Ricci and holomorphic sectional curvature, which covers various notions of curvature considered in the literature. Specifically, we prove a splitting theorem, analogous to the Cheeger-Gromoll splitting theorem, for complete Kähler manifolds with non-negative mixed curvature containing a line, and then establish a structure theorem for compact Kähler manifolds with non-negative mixed curvature. We also show that the Hodge numbers of compact Kähler manifolds with quasi-positive mixed curvature must vanish. Both results are based on the conformal perturbation method.
