Abstract:This paper presents a fuzzy control system based on a 16-bit MC9S12DG128B produced by Freescale company.The fuzzy controller is used for the speed regulation of a DC motor.The result shows that the robustness of the system is improved.

Abstract:To lower the cost of brushless DC motor controller,designed a new speed control method using hall effect position sensors to provide speed measurements which can work without a high resolution encoder.A fuzzy logic controller was used to fix the system's instability and poor performance of speed adjusting,both of which were caused by the uneven speed sample rate.This method was simulated on computer by Simulink software.A sewing machine control system was also designed employing this new method using TMS320F28027 digital signal processor.The result of experiments showed that system worked stably and effectively.

Abstract:For BLDCM speed regulating system, the parameter’s self-adaptive fuzzy PID controller was constructed. A BLDCM simulation model was built, based on it a control system with close loops of speed and current was experimented. This controller improves the performance of the whole system by adjusting certain parameters of the self-adaptive Fuzzy-PID controller online.This strategy controller is proved to have faster dynamic andsmaller overshoot compared to PID controller both in simulation and experiment.

Abstract:This paper paper presents the design of BLDCM's speed regulating system,which is based on fuzzy control.At first the principle of BLDCM is analyzed and the model is built,then a test is performed on a speed regulating system of close loops of speed and current.Then through fuzzy PD controller and integrating element,the properties of PID controller is perfected,the precisions of control systen is improved.At last,through combiningFuzzy Toolbox and SIMULINK in MATLAB,the computer simulation of fuzzy control system of BLDCM is implemented.The result of simulation shows this method has faster dynamic response and higher regulating precision.

Abstract:In this paper,a new hybrid speed regulating method based on Fuzzy-PID was proposed.It can be used in the speed loop for speed and current closed loop control DC motor control system.When the error between reference speed and real speed is bigger than some threshold value,uses the fuzzy control.But when the error reduces to the threshold value below,changes the PID adjustment.The simulation research on the hybrid speed regulating system of DC motor was carried out.The simulation results show that the system based on this hybrid speed regulating has better dynamic and static performance than the system based on PID speed regulating.A speed control system of DJ23 DC motor used in DDSZ-1 electrical machinery and electrical technology test installation was introduced.The system based on this new hybrid speed regulating method has a control unit of the single-chip Atmega128,using PWMcontrol signal to control DC motor.The results of experiment show that the system is of better robustness and strong practicality and simple structure.

Abstract:In order to solve the problems of strongly nonlinear,multivariable coupling and complexities of the exact analytical model for the switched reluctance motor( SRM),the traditional fuzzy and PI control methods were investigated. After the analysis of system model,the linearly and nonlinearly relationship were established between the plant and controller. A method called hybrid fuzzy PI arithmetic was presented to design a speed controller. A simulation program of switched reluctance drive system( SRD) based on Ansoft and Matlab-simulink was developed. The relationship between behavior of hybrid fuzzy PI controller and SRM performance was studied under different feedback error circumstances. The controller stabilization performance and SRM static / dynamic performance were evaluated at the same time. The physical verification experimental results indicate that both static / dynamic performance and robustness of SRD are improved.

Abstract:This paper describes Freescale company’s DSP device MC56F8013 implementation of a control method for sensorless BLDC motor, which is according to fuzzy neural network. The inductance of stator core varies according to the variation of rotor position, and the rotor position can be estimated with the variation of current response caused by six direction voltage vectors. Then use fuzzy neural network PI control method to optimize the dynamic performance, accelerate the rotor to a certain speed, and switch to EMF mode. The experiment results show that the proposed method can have fast response, strong robustness and superior performances.

Abstract:This paper proposes an induction motor variable frequency speed control system based on fuzzy-PI self-tuning. The system includes coordinate transformation modules, vector control modules, space vector pulse width modules, fuzzy-PI self-tuning speed regulator, excitation current and torque current PI regulator. Because the speed regulator controlled by the fuzzy-PI self-tuning has better control effect than traditional PI. The performance can be reflected by the shorter response time, smaller overshoot. In addition, when the load torque changes, the electromagnetic torque changes more smoothly and does not have large fluctuations.

Abstract:Traditional direct torque control system of induction motor introduces conventional PI regulator in speed loop, it is proved that the low precision of the speed regulator debases the performance of the whole system. This paper establishes a fuzzy speed PI regulator, which applies the principles and method of fuzzy logic to adjust the proportional coefficient k(p) and integral coefficient k(I) of the PI regulator on-line, and finally get the system to adapt to different speed variations. The proposed method is implemented with a single board microcomputer that uses TMS320LF2407A DSP. The experimental results show that the fuzzy speed regulator can ensure swift speed response, small overshooting, and high steady speed precision both in high and low speed. Additionally, the proposed regulator improves the observation precision of the stator flux and enhances the robustness of the whole system.

Abstract:To reduce traditional direct torque control (DTC) system low speed control precision and the large torque ripple in low speed, a fuzzy control system of DTC was proposed. On the basis of conventional PI regulator, a fuzzy speed PI regulator was designed according to speed error and its rate of change, which could adjust the proportional coefficient kp and integral coefficient kp dynamically to adapt the system to the speed variations, and advanced the self-adaptation of speed. In voltage vector fuzzy controller model, the stator flux angle, the stator flux error, and the torque error are reasonably fuzzified into several fuzzy subsets to optimize selection of the voltage vector and decrease the torque ripple. The experimental results show that the proposed fuzzy control system not only can ensure swift speed response, small overshooting, and high steady speed precision, but also can effectively decrease torque ripple in low speed. Additionally, the system improves the observation precision of the stator flux and enhances the robustness of the whole system

Abstract:The paper presents the drive system of the developed Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) including hardware and, especially, software. The designed software for MC9S12DG128 is described, consisted of initialization procedure, main procedure, and executive procedure which includes function subroutine, commutation control subroutine, speed control subroutine, angle control subroutine and interrupt subroutine. Fuzzy control, PI control and Fuzzy embed into PI control algorithms are adopted in the system respectively to analyse their performance comparatively. The Switched Reluctance drive system (SRD) is tested experimentally based on the speed curves and the phase current waveforms obtained in different conditions. © 2013 IEEE.

Abstract:In order to solve the problems of coupling and nonlinearity of the switched reluctance motor( SRM) drives,the self-adaptive fuzzy control was investigated. After the analysis of the influences of errors and incremental errors in speed control,and the characteristics of SRM, the function between calibration factor and errors and incremental errors was established. A simplified method was presented to find the calibration factor to change fuzzy rules online,and its calculations and performances were also considered. The simulations were evaluated on Matlab. The simplified self-adaptive fuzzy control and PI control were tested on an 8 /6 SRM. The results indicate that the robustness of the system can be improved with the simplified self-adaptive fuzzy control. The results indicate the influences of the calibration factor in fuzzy control,and the simplified self-adaptive fuzzy control's adaptabilities in different situations.

Abstract:This paper addresses the usage of the boundary-layer concept in removing the chatter that occurs in sliding mode control applications in the area of controlling the speed and flux of induction motors. Although this concept succeeds in removing the chatter from the system, it introduces a stability problem. This paper proposes a fuzzy controller that acts as a supervisory controller for a sliding mode controller and a classical PI controller. Lyapunov functions are used to ensure the stability of the overall system. The proposed regulator solves the problems of overshoot and slow transient responses associated with fast response PI controllers in transient state and the chattering problem associated with robust sliding mode controllers in the steady state. Simulations of the proposed Fuzzy-SMC-PI strategy on the flux and speed controllers display diminished chatter, overshoot and significant reduction of settling time. One other significant result of applying Fuzzy-SMC-PI strategy on the flux component of the system is that optimum flux level is attained fairly quicker. This results in faster rise and settling times.

Abstract:Based on the advantages of BLDCM combined in the power-drive application,an MC56F8013 based firdge compressor control system is presented.The DSP MC56F8013 is adopted as the control chip,and the PS21265-P/PA is adopted as the power module.The rotor position of sensorless brushless DC motor is detected by back EMF method,and changed into phase conversation signal through software modification.A simple and practical method is designed based on PID speed close-loop control and realtime collection of overcurrent single.The application results show that the proposed method avoids the disadvantages brought by hall sensors,and guarantees the reliability and stability of fridge compressors,and decreases the production cost of fridges.The feasibility of the control system is verified further through simulation and prototype test.

Abstract:To solve the problem of overshot and instability in the frequent wide range timing system of direct current motor,a piecewise fuzzy controller was designed.It was described that according to the different speed,the timing system dynamically chose the fuzzy controller by setting different domains of input,segmenting and using separate rule bases for each input.The simulative model of DC timing system was created in MATLAB/Simulink.The simulation results show that there are some advantages in piecewise fuzzy controller such as high precision,fast response of target and strong robust.The accuracy of DC motor speed control is effectively improved in this program.

Abstract:In this project, we designed a DC motor whose speed can be controlled by a PID controller. The proportional, integral and derivative gains (KP, KI, KD) of the PID controller are adjusted according to Fuzzy logic. First of all, the fuzzy logic controller is designed according to rules so that the systems is basically robust. There are 25 rules for the auto-tuning of each parameter of the PID controller. The FLC (fuzzy logic controller) has two inputs. The first is the motor speed error between the reference (setpoint) and the actual speed. The second is the variation of the speed error (derivative of the speed error). Secondly the output of the FLC is the parameters of the PID controller which are used to control the speed of the DC motor. The study shows that both the precise characters of PID controllers and the flexible characters of fuzzy controllers are present in the fuzzy self-tuning PID controller. The fuzzy auto-tuning approach implemented on a conventional PID structure was able to control the speed of the DC motor. It also improved the dynamic and static response of the system. The comparison between the conventional response and the fuzzy self-tuning response was performed based on the simulation result obtained by MATLAB/SIMULINK. The simulation results show that the designed self-adaptive PID controller achieves good dynamic behavior of the DC motor, perfect speed tracking with short rise and settling times, zero overshoot and steady state error and thus gives better performance compared to the conventional PID controller. We then model the fuzzy PID using simple code on Arduino IDE and perform a practical experiment, to confirm our theorical results.

Abstract:This paper describes the challenges and solutions for low cost control of DC-DC converter with robust fuzzy logic based controller for robotic/servo applications. Robotic applications need design of compact and versatile controllers for its manipulator. Control of the DC servomotors as actuators for robotic arm is done recently by DC-DC converters with PWM control methods as a single processor multi-motor system. Design approaches for PWM controller is often investigated because of its nonlinear nature due to inherent switching in DC-DC converters. Robust controller for this system can be designed using fuzzy logic which is difficult to implement on low cost digital processors. The proposed approach makes it possible to design the fuzzy controller with low cost microcontroller for PWM based control of DC servomotor.
