Abstract:In the title compound [ systematic name: diethyl 3,3'-( 9H-fluorene- 9,9- diyl) dipropionate], C23H26O4, the fluorene ring system is planar. The ethoxycarbonylethyl groups display extended conformations and are nearly perpendicular to the fluorene plane. A weak intermolecular C - H center dot center dot center dot O interaction occurs in the crystal structure.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(28)H(21)Cl, the dihedral angle between the two fluorene ring systems is 71.97 (4)°. There is an intra-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bond. In the crystal structure, the centroid-to-centroid distance between stacked fluorene ring systems is ca 4.22 Å, which indicates that there are no π-π stacking inter-actions between them.

Abstract:The fluorene fragment of the title compound, C22H25N, is essentially planar, with an r.m.s deviation of the five-membered ring of 0.005 (2) Å. The dihedral angle between this ring and the outer benzene rings are 1.5 (2) and 0.7 (2)° while that between the benzene rings is 2.1 (2)°. The cyano group makes an angle of 0.3 (2)° with the attached benzene ring.

Abstract:The title compound, C14H14BrNO4, contains a tricyclic ring system including three contiguous stereocenters all of which exhibit an R configuration. The cyclo-hexa-none ring adopts a chair conformation. The central oxane ring assumes a strained envelope conformation, with five of the ring atoms being nearly coplanar with the bromo-phenyl group and with the C atom adjacent to the O atom and fused with the cyclo-hexa-none ring as the flap. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Abstract:The title compound, 19 H,79 H-3,5,9,11-tetra-oxa-1,7(2,7)-difluorena-4,10(1,3)-dibenzena-cyclo-dodeca-phane-19,79-dione (fluorenonophane), exists as a solvate with chloro-benzene, C42H28O6·C6H5Cl. The fluorenonophane contains two fluorenone fragments linked by two m-substituted benzene fragments. Some decrease in its macrocyclic cavity leads to a stacking inter-action between the tricyclic fluorenone fragments. In the crystal, the fluorenonophane and chloro-benzene mol-ecules are linked by weak C-H⋯π(ring) inter-actions and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. The Cl atom of chloro-benzene does not form a halogen bond. A Hirshfeld surface analysis and two-dimensional fingerprint plots were used to analyse the inter-molecular contacts found in the crystal structure.

Abstract:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(16)H(15)FN(2)O(2), the benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 88.61 (3)°. The five-membered ring adopts an envelope conformation. Intra-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds result in the formation of two planar five-membered rings. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming R(2) (2)(8) and R(2) (2)(18) ring motifs. Weak C-H⋯π inter-actions may further stabilize the structure.

Abstract:The title compound, C16H22N4O8, is a glycoluril derivative with two propoxycarbonyl substituents on the convex face of the glycoluril system. The dihedral angle between the five-membered rings in the glycoluril unit is 72.70 (2)degrees. The oxadiazinane six-membered ring displays a normal chair conformation. One of the propyl groups is disordered over two positions with site occupancies of 0.557 (7) and 0.443 (7). Intermolecular C - H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds are effective in the stabilization of the crystal structure.
