THE PREPARATION OF MODERATE-TEMPERATURE CURING EPOXY RESINS USED AS HOT-MELT PREPREG

Abstract:Moderate-temperature curing epoxy resins used as hot-melt prepreg were prepared by adding acrylamide.The relationships among viscosity,gel time and temperature,as well as the curing technology of resins were determined.Meanwhile,the mechanical properties of the composites were studied.The results showed that the viscosity of resin systems decreased with increasing the contents of acrylamide resulting in good impregnation of reinforced fibers.The mechanical properties of such composites were better than those of composite without acrylamide.SEM analysis demonstrated that the interfacial adhesion between fiber and resin was excellent.
