Analysis of the Volatile Chemical Constituents in Moghania Macrophylla by GasChromatography-Mass Spectrometry

Abstract:The GC-MS technique was applied to analyze the volatile oil extracted by steam distillation from the root of Moghania macrophyllae.The results showed that the 72 chromatographic peaks were distinguished,53 chemical compounds were identified which accounted for about 94.16% of the total content.The main components were alkenes and alcohols such as longifolene,β-himachalene,α-fir olefinic,α-eudesmol,bulnesos,farnesol and so on.The established method can be used for further development and quality control of Moghania macrophyllae.
