GC-MS Analysis of Volatile Oil Constituents from Shibawei Zhenbaoxiang

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the volatile oil components from Shibawei Zhenbaoxiang by GC-MS.Methods:The volatile oil components were extracted and isolated with steam distillation method according to ChP(2010).The chemical compositions were separated by GC capillary column chromatography,and the relative contents were analyzed by GC-MS.The GC-MS analysis with an Rtx-5Sil MS capillary column(30 m ×0.25 mm,0.25 μm).The inlet temperature was maintained at 260 ℃.The column oven was begun at 60 ℃,then programmed from 60 to 150 ℃ at 8 ℃·min-1,then programmed from 150 to 260 ℃ at 6 ℃·min-1 and finally,held for 8 min.No split injection;injector temperature was 260 ℃.mass spectrometer conditions were:ionization mode,EI;electron energy 70 eV;interface temperature 280 ℃;ion source temperature 230 ℃.The mass selective detector was operated in the TIC mode,mass scan range,50-800 amu.Results:46 volatile oil compounds of Shibawei Zhenbaoxiang were identified,and the compounds that the relative contents were more than 5% were bulnesol(18.29%),(-)-guaiol(11.46%),eugenol(9.65%),α-bisabolene(7.74%),and β-wudesmol(7.70%).Conclusion:It indicated that Shibawei Zhenbaoxiang could be served in the field of disease prevention.
