Abstract:Summary form only given. The electric field integral equation (EFIE) method is one of the most commonly-adopted computational electromagnetic methods. Its popularity stems from the efficient surface triangulation, excellent numerical precision, and the powerful capability of handling open and complex geometries. However, when the frequency tends to zero, the method-of-moment (MoM) solution of EFIE using the Rao-Wilton-Glisson (RWG) basis functions suffers from the low-frequency breakdown, where the contribution from the vector potential is extremely imbalanced with that from the scalar potential. As a result, the matrix representation of EFIE operator is highly ill-conditioned and cannot be inverted reliably and efficiently.
A New Technique of Solving the Integral Equation for Electromagnetic Scattering from the Targets with Combined Sources

Abstract:In combined field integral equation (CFIE) method for solving electromagneticscattering from conductive target with open cavity,there appear both EFIE operator and MFIE operator imposed on unknown combined sources,resulting in complicated calculations.In this paper,a equalized CFIE has been derived,in which the integral operators imposed on electrical and magnetic currents are simply same,and the computation complexity is reduced dramatically due to this single operator in ECFIE.Combination of ECFIE with multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA) can easily solve electromagnetic scattering from conductive target with open cavity.The numerical examples in this paper show the high precision and high efficiency of this method.

Abstract:The four-dimensional complex tensor formulation for the electromagnetic field is obtained based on the framework of three-dimensional complex vector.The present complex tensor formulation is then generalized to the case of magnetic monopole using the double-potential formalism,and the double-potential complex-tensor Maxwell equations for both electric and magnetic charges are derived.

Abstract:The time domain electric field integral equation (EFIE) method, based on an improved marching-on-in-degree (MOD) scheme, is proposed for accelerating the simulation of arbitrary shaped homogeneous dielectric objects. In such method, a combination of three weighted Laguerre polynomials (LP) is set as new temporal basis functions to derive the final equations. Therefore, the entire solution process can be shortened. Some numerical examples are given to validate its efficiency, its accuracy and its applicability.

Abstract:According to the concept of the plane angle,the equivalence of the electric field intensities at the centre of a circle caused by the uniformly charged infinitesimal line and infinitesimal arc has been obtained.This equivalence has been extended to some complex charged lines.The relationship between the electric field intensities of the charged infinitesimal plane and infinitesimal spherical surface at the centre of the sphere based on the solid angle has been derived.The result shows that they are equivalent only for the non-uniform surface density of charge.

Abstract:With electric potential of three electrodes,discrete equations of surface electric charge density was founded with boundary element integral equations.The distribution of surface electric charge on the electrodes was calculated by solving a linear equation group.Then the spatial distribution of the potential and the electric field are obtained.In vacuum,the edge effect of a double glow discharge was analysed.

Abstract:A Wavelet-Galerkin method for numerical calculations of electromagnetic fields was presented using the compactly supported wavelets as the trial functions. The details about the discretization process of 2D electromagnetic problems with arbitrary boundary conditions were discussed, a general approach on boundary conditions was introduced, and a general approach to deal with arbitrary boundary conditions, as well as an exact numerical algorithm for the computation of connection coefficients on a bounded interval, was derived. Numerical results show that the present method is accurate, simple and easy.

Abstract:By solving three-dimensional vectorial equations which are independent of coordinate system,the relativistic motion of a charged particle in a uniform electric field is discussed.The trajectory,velocity and acceleration of the particle are obtained in the form of vectorial formula.Furthermore,dynamic graphing is realized by using the Mathematica 6 computing software,which allows a detailed comparison with the results under the non-relativistic limit.

Abstract:Based on transforming the field area by conformal mapping method, the electrostatic energy of a charged rectangular coaxial line is obtained. Employing the principle of virtual work and the elliptic integrals, the electrostatic forces exerted on the walls are calculated. The general and specific natures of these forces are investigated. The charged square coaxial line is treated as a special case. Moreover, the results are presented using an expression convenient for computation of numerical values.

Abstract:Non-empty space reading of Maxwell equations as local energy identities explains why a Coulomb field is carried rigidly by electrons in experiments. The analytical solution of the Poisson equation defines the sharp radial shape of charged elementary densities which are proportional to continuous densities of electric self-energy. Inward and outward longitudinal waves within the continuous electron reshape its radial energy structure in external fields. Both Coulomb field and radial charge densities are free from energy divergences. Non-empty space of electrically charged mass-energy can be described by complex analytical densities resulting in real values for volume mass integrals and in imaginary values for volume charge integrals. Imaginary electric charges in the Newton gravitational law comply with real Coulomb forces. Unification of forces through complex charges rids them of radiation self-acceleration.

Abstract:Based on the superposition principle, the charge distribution on the axis of regular charged polygon ring,dish, cylindrical surface,and cylinder are calculated systematically. The results show that the algebraic property of electric field strength of different charged body is closely related to its charge distribution, i. e. , the ring's is better than the plane's, and the cylindrical surfaee's is superior to the cylinder's.

Abstract:Uniform charged spherical sphere generated by the electric field in the sphere inside and outside electric field strength distribution is very simple, but it is difficult to obtain the spherical surface of the electric field strength with Gauss’s law . This article introduced the integral calculation and deductive analytic two methods, using field strength’s principle of superposition to calculate the electric field strength value of the charged spherical surface, to obtain a complete electric field strength distribution of the uniformly charged spherical generated electric field . According to the investigation, the present study is the first example.

Abstract:Thin V2O3 films were deposited on a piezoelectric substrate by electron-beam evaporation. Surface acoustic waves (SAW) were generated by interdigital-transducers (IDTs). The attenuation and sound velocity was investigated from 260K to 10K, providing an insight into the temperature dependent electrical, dielectrical and elastic properties of V2O3 at the metal to insulator transition.

Abstract:In this paper, the integrated formulas for the electromagnetic field in the planar boundary between isotropic and onedimensionally anisotropic media due to a horizontal electric dipole situated on the interface are treated in detail, and the calculable field components are given in terms of series that involve confluent hypergeometric functions, namely, the Fresnel and exponential integrals. The expressions are more complex than the isotropic case, and the exact expressions and simplified formulas can be easily reduced to the corresponding isotropic case. The results are useful to study the propagation of the electromagnetic waves on the boundary of one-dimensionally anisotropic earth or sediments.

Abstract:When electric field is shown by the electric field lines in a plane,generally,the definition of the tangent direction of the lines is considered,but the quantitative requirements of the electric field lines density are ignored.In this paper,we discuss the quantitative description of the electric field lines density,and point out that the number of the field lines from or to a point charge in a plane is proportional to the square root of its electric quantity.We also prove that the property of equal angle between the electric field lines around point charges cannot be satisfied in the case of a pair of point charges with different values and opposite signs.
