Abstract:Let L be the Lie algebra of Block type over a field F of characteristic zero,defined with basis L_i,j | i,j∈Z and relations[L_i,j,L_k,l]=((j+1)k-(l+1)i)L_i+k,j+l. Then L is Z^2-graded. In thispaper, Z^2-graded L-modules of the intermediate series are classified.

Abstract:Abstract We show that Artin–Schelter regularity of a $\mathbb{Z}$-graded algebra can be examined by its associated $\mathbb{Z}$r-graded algebra. We prove that there is exactly one class of four-dimensional Artin–Schelter regular algebras with two generators of degree one in the Jordan type. This class is strongly noetherian, Auslander regular, and Cohen–Macaulay. Their automorphisms and point modules are described.

Abstract:We construct classes of $Z_2 \times Z_2$-graded Lie algebras corresponding to the classical Lie algebras, in terms of their defining matrices. For the $Z_2 \times Z_2$-graded Lie algebra of type $A$, the construction coincides with the previously known class. For the $Z_2 \times Z_2$-graded Lie algebra of type $B$, $C$ and $D$ our construction is new and gives rise to interesting defining matrices closely related to the classical ones but undoubtedly different. We also give some examples and possible applications to parastatistics.

Abstract:In this paper, the module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) = H(e(i), f(i), k(i)(+/- 1))(1 <= i <= m)., on the coordinate algebra of quantum vector spaces are studied. We denote the coordinate algebra of quantum n-dimensional vector space by A(q)(n). As our main result, first, we give a complete classification of module-algebra structures of U-p(sl(m + 1)) on A(q)(3) when k(i) is an element of Aut L(A(q)(3)) as actions on A(q)(3) for i = 1,...,m and m >= 2 and with the same method, on A(q)(2), all module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) are characterized. Lastly, the module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) on A(q)(n) are obtained for any n >= 4.

Abstract:In this paper, we study two -graded infinite Lie conformal algebras, which are closely related to a class of Lie algebras of the generalized Block type, and which both have a quotient algebra isomorphic to the Virasoro conformal algebra. We concretely determine their isomorphic mappings, conformal derivations, extensions by a one-dimensional center under some conditions, finite conformal modules and -graded free intermediate series modules.

Abstract:For any nonzero complex number q, there is a Lie algebra of Block type, denoted by B(q). In this paper, a complete classification of irreducible quasifinite modules is given. More precisely, an irreducible quasifinite module is a highest weight or lowest weight module, or a module of intermediate series. As a consequence, a classification for uniformly bounded modules over another class of Lie algebras, the semi-direct product of the Virasoro algebra and a module of intermediate series, is also obtained. Our method is conceptional, instead of computational.

Abstract:A ${\mathbb Z}_2\times{\mathbb Z}_2$-graded Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ is a ${\mathbb Z}_2\times{\mathbb Z}_2$-graded algebra $\mathfrak g$ with a bracket $[|. , . |]$ that satisfies certain graded versions of the symmetry and Jacobi identity. In particular, despite the common terminology, $\mathfrak g$ is not a Lie algebra. We construct classes of ${\mathbb Z}_2\times{\mathbb Z}_2$-graded Lie algebras corresponding to the classical Lie algebras, in terms of their defining matrices. For the ${\mathbb Z}_2\times{\mathbb Z}_2$-graded Lie algebra of type $A$, the construction coincides with the previously known class. For the ${\mathbb Z}_2\times{\mathbb Z}_2$-graded Lie algebra of type $B$, $C$ and $D$ our construction is new and gives rise to interesting defining matrices closely related to the classical ones but undoubtedly different. We also give some examples and possible applications to parastatistics.

Abstract:We provide an explicit connection between the quantum group Uq(sl(3)) in the limit q → −1 and a Z2×Z2-graded Lie colour algebra. This is realised through an algebra embedding assisted by a Klein operator. This provides a proof of concept of an explicit method that could lead to constructing more general Z2×Z2-graded Lie colour algebras, and their representations.

Fine gradings of complex simple Lie algebras and Finite Root Systems

Abstract: A $G$-grading on a complex semisimple Lie algebra $L$, where $G$ is a finite abelian group, is called quasi-good if each homogeneous component is 1-dimensional and 0 is not in the support of the grading. Analogous to classical root systems, we define a finite root system $R$ to be some subset of a finite symplectic abelian group satisfying certain axioms. There always corresponds to $R$ a semisimple Lie algebra $L(R)$ together with a quasi-good grading on it. Thus one can construct nice basis of $L(R)$ by means of finite root systems. We classify finite maximal abelian subgroups $T$ in $\Aut(L)$ for complex simple Lie algebras $L$ such that the grading induced by the action of $T$ on $L$ is quasi-good, and show that the set of roots of $T$ in $L$ is always a finite root system. There are five series of such finite maximal abelian subgroups, which occur only if $L$ is a classical simple Lie algebra.

Steinberg Lie superalgebras and their central extensions play an essential role. We use a ℤ/2ℤ-graded version of cyclic homology to study the center of the extensions in question.

Abstract:We study central extensions of the Lie superalgebra slm|n(A), where A is a Z/2Z-graded superalgebra over a commutative ring K. The Steinberg Lie superalgebra stm|n(A) plays a crucial role. We show that stm|n(A) is a central extension of slm|n(A) for m+n≥3. We use a Z/2Z-graded version of cyclic homology to show that the center of the extension is isomorphic to HC1(A) as K-modules. For m+n≥5, we prove that stm|n(A) is the universal central extension of slm|n(A). For m+n=3,4, we prove that st2|1(A) and st3|1(A) are both centrally closed. The universal central extension of st2|2(A) is constructed explicitly.
