Abstract:The title compound, C24H32O8S center dot C3H6O, features three six-membered and two five-membered rings. The six-membered rings adopt chair, boat and slightly distorted boat conformations whereas one five-membered ring adopts an approximate envelope conformation and the other a twist conformation. Disorder was modelled for the ethylthio group with the ethyl-C atoms resolved over three positions with occupancies of 0.58 (4), 0.23 (4) and 0.19 (3). In the crystal, an O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond links the molecules into chains.

Abstract:The title compound, C13H6O4S5, possesses crystallographically imposed mirror symmetry, with the atoms of the C=S group lying on the mirror plane. It is an example of the general formula [RCO](2)(dmit), where R is a furan ring and dmit is 2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolate. The components exhibit some polarization of their molecular-electronic structure. The dmit and furan moieties exhibit a high degree of conjugation, as the introduction of C=O connecting the conjugated furan (donor) and dmit (acceptor) rings forms a good conjugated system with high delocalization. A polar three-dimensional framework is built from a combination of intermolecular contacts, namely S center dot center dot center dot S interactions and C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonding. The structural characteristics lead to good second-order non-linear optical properties.

Abstract:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C17H20N4S, contains two independent mol-ecules, the main difference between them being the dihedral angles between the benzene rings [19.99 (17) and 9.72 (17)°]. The mol-ecules both have a trans conformation about the C=N double bond and intra-molecular C-H⋯S and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds are observed in both mol-ecules. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by weak N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds with graph-set motif R 2 (2)(8). In each mol-ecule, all but one of the N atoms and both the S atoms are involved in hydrogen bonding.

Abstract:The title compound, C28H30N2OS2, was obtained by thionation of 3 ',6 '-bis(diethylamino)-3H-spiro[isobenzofuran-1,9 '-xanthene]-3-one with 2,4-bis(p-methoxyphenyl)-1,3-dithiadiphosphetane disulfide (Lawesson's reagent). The spiro-annulated structure has twofold symmetry and is formed by two equal push-pull ethylene units, with the cycloalkylthio groups as electron donors and the cyano groups as electron acceptors. The intermolecular S . . .N non-bonded separation within a layer in the lattice is 3.296 (6) Angstrom, indicating a strong intermolecular interaction between the cyano groups and the S atoms, while the S atoms in two neighbouring molecules have a shortest S . . .S contact of 3.449 (3) Angstrom. In addition, attractive C-H . . .N and C-H . . .S interactions bridge adjacent molecules either within a layer or between layers. In short, these four types of intermolecular interactions combine to form an extended three-dimensional network in the lattice, resulting in a highly ordered array of molecular packing.
