Abstract:In the light of the problem of the information network communication rights of digital resources and the copy issue in the construction of digital resources, this paper analyzes library’s wrong understanding of the copyright, and puts forward some principles and basic measures of protecting the copyright by the library, and makes clear what works can be confirmed as the ones of the independent intellectual property rights of the library.

Abstract:Aim To study and design the platform of technology document digitalization and resource sharing,to realize the sharing of Shaanxi provincial science and technology document information resources,and produce the overall efficiency.Methods The design and realization of the platform is analyzed respectively from the construction background,overall planning,sub-platform function analysis,main functional modules.Results A relatively complete technical route and the design scheme have been achieved for the realization of the platform.Conclusion The digital document management and resource sharing platform,has the practical demands,and also has very broad application prospect.

Abstract:With changed requirements, the old management system for the Audio & Video Resources Library of Tsinghua University had not met needs any more and should be improved. But there is a question: how to design it? In past decade, many universities in China had constructed resource libraries by themselves, and it is rewarding to sharing the resources in them with each other. But there still exist some barriers coming from technology and management etc, for instance, how exchange and transfer the resources? Thus, this article will discuss how to design a sharing grid of the instructional resources management system satisfying current demands.

Abstract:Even though most universities in China have successively introduced digital resources, traditional paper-based resources still share major percentage in the whole library resources. In the current library management schemes, the information of the resource requirement and usage record is not utilized effectively either in resource purchase decision or in resource allocation plan. Furthermore, there is no efficient approach proposed to utilize the advanced information technologies in library management. In this paper, we firstly analyze the patterns of the current library services in Chinese universities and points out some problems existing in the current resource management systems. We then propose several approaches attempting to improve user satisfactory and resource utilization by considering customer behavior and requirement information.

Abstract:In order to improve the utilization rate of library seats, this paper analyzes the problems existing in the traditional library seat management system and provide a novel intelligent management system of library seat. The system framework of intelligent management system is established firstly, and different system functions are designed using C/s software and Java language and VB language and XML technology. The experiment results show the new method can effectively improve the comprehensive utilization efficiency of the library seat management system.

Abstract:Z39.50 is a standard network protocol of information retrieval, especially used in the fieldof online bibliographic retrieval. In this paper, firstly, we discuss the technology of online bibliographic re-trieval service based on Z39.50 and the problem of the current structure is presented. Secondly, we pre-sent a distributed architecture that uses the technology of query routing. Thirdly, the basic technology,such as the buildup of Marc index, fetching of the centroid information and loop control are discussed.The system architecture and technology that is presented in the paper increase the query efficiency of dis-tributed resources in the digital library.

Abstract:Open educational resources just supply potentials to help equalize the access to worldwide knowledge and education, but themselves alone do not cause effective learning or education. How to make effective use of the resources is still a big challenge. In this study, a technical mode is proposed to collect the open educational resources from different sources on the Internet into a campus-network-based resource management system. The system facilitates free and easy access to the resources for instructors and students in universities and integrates the resources into learning and teaching. The technical issues regarding the design the resource management system are examined, including the structure and functions of the system, metadata standard compatibility and scalability, metadata file format, and resource utilization assessment. Furthermore, the resource collecting, storage and utilization modes are also discussed so as to lay a technical basis for extensive and efficient sharing and utilization of the OER in Chinese universities.
