Abstract:In the title compound, C13H16ClFN2O, the piperazine ring is flanked by 1-(2-fluorobenzyl) piperazine and adopts a chair conformation. The dihedral angle between the fluorophenyl ring and the four planar C atoms (r.m.s. = 0.0055 angstrom) of the piperazine chair is 78.27 (7)degrees, whereas the dihedral angle between the four planar C atoms of the piperazine chair and the ethanone plane is 55.21 (9) angstrom; the Cl atom displaced by 1.589 (2) angstrom out of the plane.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C14H11ClN4O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of m-chloroacetophenone and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The two benzene rings of the title molecule have a dihedral angle of 16.17 (6)degrees. Within the dinitrophenyl moiety, the distances of 1.422 (3) and 1.415 (3) Angstrom for the C-C bonds close to the imine group are appreciably longer than the average distance of 1.376 (3) Angstrom for other aromatic C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The overlapped arrangement of chlorophenyl rings of neighbouring molecules shows the existence of a pi-pi stacking interaction.

Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].

Abstract:The title compound, C19H18BrN3O3, was synthesized by the reaction of 2-methanesulfonyl-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine and N-(2-bromophenyl)-2-hydroxybenzylamine in tetrahydrofuran. There are three different planes in the molecule, each of which is conjugated. The dihedral angles between the pyrimidine plane and the planes of the two phenyl rings are 107.85 (4) and 77.38 (2) degrees, and the dihedral angle between the planes of the two phenyl rings is 103.15(3)degrees.

Each of the two unique molecules is twisted about the C—C single bonds, making dihedral angles of 24.29 (5) and 73.01 (5)° between the two rings. Abstract:The title compound, C(20)H(19)NO, is a substructure of CP-640186, a potent inhibitor of mammalian acetyl-coenzyme A carboxyl-ases. In the crystal structure, the amide group forms a dihedral angle of 87.0 (1)° with the plane of the anthracene unit and the piperidine ring adopts a chair conformation. Abstract:The title complex has been obtained from the solution of 4-methylphenol and piperazine, and the crystal structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The complex crystallizes in space group P-1, each piperazine molecule linking two 4-methylphenol molecules via H-bonding between the amine N atoms and the phenol hydroxyl group. 1H NMR spectra indicate that the complex formed with the aid of H-bonding exists also in the solution. The proton peaks assigned to the hydroxyl and amine groups in pure 4-methylphenol and piperazine merge into one in the title complex, which implies that the H-bond between the hydroxyl O and the amine N atoms is involved in a fast proton exchange process. The ESI-MS spectrum of the solution of the title complex also provides evidence for the existence of the 2:1 complex in the solution.
