Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].

Abstract:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(23)H(12)O(4), contains two nearly parallel independent mol-ecules; the dihedral angles between the phenanthrene ring systems of the two mol-ecules and between the benzene rings of the two mol-ecules are 4.97 (9) and 8.1 (2)°, respectively. In each mol-ecule, the benzene ring is nearly perpendicular to the phenanthrene ring system, with dihedral angles of 86.42 (19) and 86.68 (18)°. π-π stacking exists between the phenanthrene ring systems of the two independent mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distance = 3.698 (2) Å]. The O-C-C-O torsion angle about the central C-C bond is 69.45 (16)°. Symmetry-related benzene rings are inclined to one another by 64.91 (8)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

Abstract:In the title compound [systematic name: (1R,3S,5R,6S)-8-methyl-3-(4-methylphenylsulfonyloxy)-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]-octan-6-yl acetate], C17H23NO5S, the fused piperidine ring exists in a chair conformation with the N atom and one C atom displaced by 0.876 (2) and -0.460 (3) angstrom, respectively, on opposite sides of the mean plane defined by the other four atoms. The fused pyrrolidine ring adopts an envelope conformation with the N atom deviating by 0.644 (3) angstrom from the mean plane of the other four atoms.

Abstract:The title compound, C(20)H(19)NO, is a substructure of CP-640186, a potent inhibitor of mammalian acetyl-coenzyme A carboxyl-ases. In the crystal structure, the amide group forms a dihedral angle of 87.0 (1)° with the plane of the anthracene unit and the piperidine ring adopts a chair conformation. Mol-ecules are arranged into layers parallel to (100) and adjacent anthracene units within layers form dihedral angles of 13.2 (1)°. C-H⋯O inter-actions from the piperidine rings to the C=O group of the amide are observed between layers.
