Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H8N4S22+.-2C(6)H(7)N(4)S(2)(+.)4C(7)H(4)NO(4)(-), comprises diprotonated diaminobithiazole (DABT) dications located on inversion centers, monoprotonated DABT cations and nitrobenzoate anions. The relatively short C - N( amino) bond distances, ranging from 1.310 (2) to 1.350 (2) angstrom, indicate electron delocalization between the amino groups and thiazole rings. Intermolecular N - H (...) O and N - H (...) N hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:In the molecule of the title compound, [Ni(C5H4NO3S)(2)-( H2O)(4)], the Ni (II) cation is located on an inversion center and is coordinated by four water molecules and two pyridine-3sulfonate anions with an NiN2O4 distorted octahedral geometry. The face-to-face separation of 3.561( 5) angstrom between parallel pyridine rings indicates the existence of weak pi - pi stacking between the pyridine rings. The structure also contains intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonding and weak C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonding.

Abstract:The two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C23H24N2O2S, have a structural overlap with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.82 Å. The piperidine rings adopt a distorted boat conformation. Intra- and inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are responsible for the cohesion of the crystal packing. The inter-molecular inter-actions were qu-anti-fied and analysed using Hirshfeld surface analysis. The mol-ecular structure optimized by density functional theory (DFT) at the B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p)level is compared with the experimentally determined mol-ecular structure in the solid state.

Abstract:The title complex has been obtained from the solution of 4-methylphenol and piperazine, and the crystal structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The complex crystallizes in space group P-1, each piperazine molecule linking two 4-methylphenol molecules via H-bonding between the amine N atoms and the phenol hydroxyl group. 1H NMR spectra indicate that the complex formed with the aid of H-bonding exists also in the solution. The proton peaks assigned to the hydroxyl and amine groups in pure 4-methylphenol and piperazine merge into one in the title complex, which implies that the H-bond between the hydroxyl O and the amine N atoms is involved in a fast proton exchange process. The ESI-MS spectrum of the solution of the title complex also provides evidence for the existence of the 2:1 complex in the solution.

Abstract:The title compound, C12H20N4O2S, has been synthesized for use as an intermediate for antihypertensive agents, potential antimalarials and molecular rectification materials. The intermolecular S (. . .) N non-bonded separation within a column in the crystal structure is 3.308 (2) angstrom, indicating a strong intermolecular interaction between the cyano groups and the S atoms. Attractive C-H (. . .) O hydrogen bonds are responsible for zigzag molecular chains propagating in the a-axis direction; these types of intermolecular interactions combine to form an extended three-dimensional network in the lattice.

Abstract:In the title isoquinolinedione derivative, C(16)H(16)N(2)O(3)S, the piperidine ring in the tetrahydroisoquinoline ring system adopts a distorted envelope conformation. The thiazole ring is essentially planar [maximum deviation = 0.004 (1) angstrom] and is inclined at a dihedral angle of 31.08 (3)degrees with respect to the mean plane through the tetrahydroisoquinoline ring system. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions link adjacent molecules into a three-dimensional extended network. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions.
